I thought it was given to him because he doesnt know shit else. I mean he literally knows like 3 jutsu. Shadow clone and rasengan (not counting the multiple forms off it) and summoning jutsu.

For him to carry out your theory wouldn't he need rinnegan? I highly doubt naruto gets rinnegan.

Agreed i think Naruto's clones are already pretty much indestructable considering how all 13 of the clones on the battlefield are able to kill legendary kages.

So Here is the thing People Used to call or still calling Shadow clone a Weak Jutsu but in Reality its Exact Opposite Plus There is a Reason Kishi Gave Naruto Shadow clone or you like to call it Kage Bushin jutsu.

Its Future Planning By Kishi :

One Day Naruto is Going to Reach the Highest Form of Shadow clone Jutsu Yes Just Like SO6P Reached [ What you got Confused right ? Yes i said it Shadow colone was also main jutsu of SO6P How ?

If You know Why Sage was called sage of SIX PATHS without showing his other paths. Cause unlike Pain/Nagato Sage didnt Had Paths Crated from Dead person's Body Cause sage Created it Using Shadow clone Jutsu [a So Highest form of Shadow clones were the Only way to destroy the Clone is to Kill it using full power. Then Sage had Same justu but Much much Higher level than Nagato's and Yes Using Undestuctable shadow clones.

So Whats going to happen with Naruto is He will reach the Highest level of Shadow clone one day when He is like 23 or 25 year old. Then He manges to Divide it into SIx Paths.
For Example :

1. Naruto : Sage Mode.
2. Naruto : Bijuu Mode.
3. Naruto : Flash Mode [a Very similar but normal mode which uses same jutsu as 4th Hokage]

We might see in Future what the 4th, 5th and 6th paths will be I guess some of you might give idea about it. but i Believe this is what going to Happen in Future.

So Dont Underestimate Shadow Clones its the Justu that will One day help Naruto to make his Own Undestructable Six Paths.

Naruto wouldn't be able to use this to create his own 6 paths because there wouldn't be enough chakra in each clone to support the different abilities he'd want to assign to each IMO. I also think shadow clone won't evolve I think it stays the same.

Nice Theory,.. Naruto's clones have become stronger and more resilent throghout the manga, and When he fought tobi, He had 3 identities.. SM, BM, and KM which could be considered three paths.. if he every combined sm and km then you have a fourth mode.
