I have never felt so small.
I can’t stand the cruelty of it all.
There’s nothing I can say, nothing I can do,
And my inability only hurts you.

I cherish you more than anything,
And you have always given me everything.
Yet I can only watch your life digress.
I have never felt so helpless.

You fake your happiness and that smile,
But you still feel pain all the while.
You somehow take every day in stride,
And my hand still remains at my side.

If only I could reach out to you
And hold you like I used to do.
Yet every part of you fades to black.
Now there’s no way I can get you back.​
