Profile infractions are infractions issued generally due to the conduct of the member in general. They might be regarding PMs, VMs, Offensive Profile or Avatar Pictures, Insulting other members, etc. It pertains to actions that the member does that aren't through posts/replies but that still break the rules of the forum.
Normal infractions are issued regarding your posts. If you post in a thread something that breaks the rules, then an infraction may be issued directly to that post.
Regarding infraction points, each infraction has a point value (either 1 or 2). The value refers to the gravity of the "crime" and its implications. When you get 3 active infractions points you become banned for 24hours. If more points are acumulated, your ban time increases up to 10 points which leads to a permanent ban. Global Moderators and Admins however, can issue custom infractions. Sometimes the offense is so severe that more points than those of the normal infractions are needed and as such you can receive all 10 in one go for example. Depends on what you do.
