help with gimp

can anybody help me with gimp a little but the last time i used photoshop was my 9th grade computer class and dont remember a single thing i try using the scissors to cut out parts of an image but cant figure out hot to get rid of it. this goes for the other tools too.

Yep, I can help. Uninstall it and buy Photoshop...that should fix everything. xd

Seriously though, I'm sure there are tons of tutorials online, YouTube has a bunch. ^_^
