Water > Fire > Wind > Lightning > Earth > Water... and so on.

So A rank water can be taken out by B rank water because Water > Fire.
But A rank fire can neutralize S rank wind because Fire > Wind.

B rank Fire = C rank Water. ( water takes it out.)
B rank Fire = A rank wind.

C rank fire = D rank water (water takes it out)
C rank Fire = B rank wind.

Basically, it's the elemental weakness chain.

In most cases, an attack can be defeated by an attack 1-rank lower of the element it's weak against.

So:

I shoot an A-rank fire attack. Opponent uses B-rank water to defend. My fire attack is defeated. (in this case it would also create a bit of steam due to fire/water clashing).

The opposite is true as well. if I send out a B-rank water attack, and the user wishes to defend with fire for some reason, he will need to defend with an A-rank.


Anyways, as it is said this is the wrong section, please read the descriptions instead of blatantly posting. There is also a thread in the rules & info subforum that explains this
