So I have an oral English exam coming up in less than 20 days.

What I need help with is some movie tips. I have to analyze a movie and be able to discuss about it. I love movies and have I decent knowledge when it comes to the subject, but I just don't know which movie to pick.

Thanks beforehand to anyone who helps :)

Dude, why did you made the same thread again, when the first one was only moved to another section? hmm

It was!? Lol, I wrote to a mod asking where it went, but didn't get an answer.

I'll get it closed.

The Longest Nards is a great one! Same with The Gridiron Gang-bang. Both are really great movies that your English teacher would approve and love.

Sita Sings the Blues (where my sig comes from), 100% on Rotten Tomatoes but I bet none of your classmates have heard of it. Sort of a copyright activist film, filmmaker's biography, plus her own take on The Ramayana.
Smoke Signals - Native American road trip. Fun fact: the female lead is Disney's Pocahontas.

I like both of these movies.

Talk about a movie that was extremely popular when it came out or changed the industry in some way.

When I was doing a Media Studies course, I wrote about The Matrix and how the idea of 'bullet time' and special effects became more popular and almost essential in most action movies to this day.

You can also choose a movie with a lot of symbolism or hidden interpretations. 2001: A Space Odyssey is a good example.

I can choose the movie, but it has to be accepted by the examiner. The Great Gatsby is a good choice :)

Oh, very good point. Something along the lines of Star Wars: A New Hope, Jurassic Park and The Matrix maybe.

Try King Kong (1933) or The Wizard of Oz (1939)

Both of these films are thought by many to be 2 of the greatest movies ever made.
Both are known by many.

Both are good choices, but a little bit too old for my taste.

Alright, try The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

This one is FILLED with inspiration, most notably: The Silent German Gxpressionist Horror Films of the early 1900s.

Examples: The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari (1920), The Golem(1915) and Nosferatu (1922)
