you need more details 2 answer this 4 ex:if there saying it usually doesn't touch the ship then it could b water,wood, or even fish since people usually put fish in a basket.

my thoughts on this is that thing that lowers the net into the water(the top part) do you have a better description of ''ship'' that they mean
or it could b ''problems with the ship''.
