It's not the sun since it doesn't enter the ship and sunlight would touch the ship. It's a steering wheel I think since it goes around, it's in your ship and the wheel itself doesn't technically touch the ship.

this would be good, but i think the question is meaning literally around the entire ship. Though i guess its up to us to figure out if its literally or not.
