Since Naruto Manga had ended, I went for a walk and never came back.
What do you guys suggest I start reading? How do I get back on track? I see there are various Naruto spin-offs and I'm like: "Wtf? I'm so confused now"
Also, how far is the anime behind?

The Boruto movie was the best one was ever made and it has highest budget film and was scripted by Kishimoto so its canon. It was mostly centered around Sasuke and Boruto was his apprentice similar tribute to DBZ with piccolo and gohan. The new generation definitely are more interesting than the original Konoha11 because their abilities get more fluid and original they don't have the over added drama attached to it and/or the annoyance that other do.

For example the new team 7:

No fangirling

No obsession of revenge and ego

No crying every time

None of them are annoying, They are all equal terms, also an Uchiha female characters wants to become Hokage and Boruto is a Prodigy unlike Naruto.

Also female character in this Boruto new gen was treated way better than in Naruto. I mean look at Hinata Daughter soloed Hokage Naruto with one poke and she's not even in a academy.

People hate the new boruto manga because they showed new content for the first few pages before the whole rehashes the whole movie with shittier art so we have to wait 2-3 more months until new content arrive. Also within the first few pages people are already hatin the fact that the leaf village was destroyed and Naruto was "presumabley" dead which was almost confirm by the enemy the way he stated.
