Its simpel if you use a laptop and using a cable direct into your PS3. Go in Start in the left side then go in Control Panel after that go in your Network Connections then you see that there is one called LAN CONNECTION and if you got WIFI it says WIFI CONNECTION if you using the WIFI to connect to your internet go right click on the WIFI CONNECTION and then click on properties then this box will show up
My pic is danish ^^ click on advanced then there is to white boxes its allows you to share connection with another computer only but the x on the first white box not that one under the first one and now you got connection to the internet ^^ if you use router I think then you have to use the LAN CONNECTION try it out its like as I did with the WIFI hope this will hape you mate
