help. how is naruto a senju?

Guys I've been watching Naruto for a long time. Since the first episode launched. But my question I always seem to forget to ask is how can Naruto be a senju if his dad and mom is an uzumaki.? Minato uzumaki and kushina uzumaki and him self is named Naruto uzumaki? Or is senju the same as an uzumaki? Im wildly confusing my self. Helppppp.

Naruto is partly Senju, because they and Uzumaki clan members are related, albeit distantly. They are more related to each other than Uchiha are related to Senju, let's put it that way.
