Alright i just finished Hellsing and i was a bit disappointed......I mean from all of its hype i feel that it was a bit overrated. Remember this is my opinion on this series

Plot/storyline: As an overall i felt that it was a bit flat. I mean the set up for this series was great. The author could have done countless things with the story but i feel that he honestly wasted the story's potential. Now i know that the author does not give a shit about my opinion however this is just my opinion on the story.

Characters/development: This is defiantly my biggest complaint about the series. Yeah Alucard is a badass but tbh he was one of the very few to maybe even the only one i really gave a shit about in the series.....the development of the characters was extremely poor imo and i felt that outside of just a very few of the characters the rest were not interesting at all.

The action: This is the reason why i finished the series. I found the action awesome and the ability's quite creative. The weapons were cool as hell and the match ups at times were very amusing.

As an overall i would still recommend others to read/watch Hellsing if they are looking for something that is just simply entertaining and cool. Below share either your complaints and/or your liking's of this series. Thanks for reading

I really don't care if there was barely any character development. My only real complaint was the Major and the Doctor being CYBORGS -_-

I loved the action, I loved every character even the minor characters like Luke Valentine and Tubalcain Alhambra, I loved the dark atmosphere, I loved the artwork. And I loved how the main villains were vampire Nazis xd It's funny but epic.

Hmm you are right about it being rather flat,

and I found I wasn't really emotionally touched to it like a good show should make me

The reason it's so popular

-the action (as you stated)
-the brutality

However I did kind of connect to Alucard I always wanted him to win no matter how much of a anti-hero he was. (plus he was just plain badass)
