If you watch the anime/read the manga you will see the Major was offered the same vampirism Alucard was given when he was going to die executed.

The Major could've accepted the blood and become a vampire, but he rejected it to save his humanity. How strong do you think he would've become?

It was the same as Alucard, so he'd too become an ''Alpha'' Vampire ( he should theoretically have the sam abilities as Alucard does ).

Wonder how much of a challenge he'd be to Alucard, if the Major had 60 years to fill his soul quota and train.

He wasnt gunna be a vampire... the blood was going to devour him like every1 else.

Are you sure? I am not positive on this, but he said he didn't take the blood because he wanted to remain human. It's implied he would've become a vampire.

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti AMEN!!!

I love the guy to death but even with Iscariot helping him he was still battered, his arm nearly slashed off, when he was done with the familiars.

Major would never had accepted it's contrary to his character so it's pointless to discuss it as he would never surrender his soul to anyone, that made his character so formidable, that the reason his last speech was so powerful and moving and Integra's speech felt useless after major.

He himself said that's reason he hated Alucard and pledged to destroy him, so I really don't think major would have accepted Vampirism when he didn't accept it at his most vulnerable moment.
