Hello! What is Shikamaru planning?

Has anyone even mentioned this yet? It seems like you guys only brought up the Hokage thing, which isn't even important at this point in the manga.
I'm no genius like Shikamaru (or Kishi), so couldn't possibly fathom wtf he's up to. Surely it's gonna be a tide-turner because we all saw how Shikamaru avenged Asuma by owning Hidan. Now, Shikamaru's gonna avenge his very own father and one of his best friend's.
Any ideas?
