I ended up having to split this chapter into three, cause there would’ve been far too much information in it, otherwise. Hopefully, though, this makes them all much shorter and easier to get out, so that’s a plus:D Enjoy:)

Lucifer

I couldn’t possibly determine how long I had been running through this elaborate dungeon in search of the demon of pride…or, at least, someone who could point me in his direction, but whatever length the time I had wasted scouring these halls measured up to, …I had undoubtedly become lost among them by now.

“…Damn it. I probably should’ve stayed with Louis.”

Around this time, I was nearly ready to give up hope and begin looking for a small tool with which to take my own life, …taking a shortcut, as I saw it then. I eventually found one. …Unfortunately, it was in the hands of a demon I would’ve preferred not to have seen again.

“…I thought I smelled semen.”

“Oh, he’s got a mouth, does he? …The little ****! You still have a debt with me that needs paying.”

Honestly, I was much less focused on the words erupting from his mouth…than I was on the giant hook he held in his filthy claws. …I can only imagine what he planned to do with it. In spite of this, though, …I wasn’t about to forget how easy it was to send him to the floor, …nor would I allow him to do the same.

“Asmodeus, …you wouldn’t happen to know where I can Lucifer, would you?”

“Huh? What the…why the hell would I care where that arrogant bastard is…and what makes you think you can just leave these dungeons whenever you want?”

“What? …How did you-?”

“Please, what other reason would you quivering little worms ever have for seeking an audience with one of the Princes of Hell? …And you, out of all of them, have got nerve looking to me for help with that, …especially if it’s with that prick.”

“Huhhh…I expected as much.”

“Not on good terms with your brethren?”

“Are you kidding me!? He’s the demon of pride! He only cares about himse-”

“Don’t you all?”

“Rrrrrrrghh…first, you make me appear weak, now you make me appear stupid. …Expect a little gift from me the next time you wake up.”

“Took him long enough.”

“I’m looking forward to it, …jerkoff.”

He aimed for the back of my head. …I didn’t even move to dodge the hook.

To my surprise, when I awoke again, I had returned to my room, …rather than another torture chamber as I had done the last time I was killed by Asmodeus. As it was before, Louis was sitting there to greet me when I woke up, along with Leonard…and Ivan.

“Hmhm, I was wandering when I might see you again, my boy. …Got lucky, I suppose?”

“Well, …as lucky as I can be at this point, I guess.”

The moment I attempted to hoist myself up, a sharp pain began coursing through my head, causing me to topple back over and press my hand against my forehead, groaning rather loudly as I did.

“Holy ****. …Why’s it feel like someone stabbed me in the-?”

It took only a glance in the other direction to find my answer. …It was a long piece of glass, covered with blood…and resting in Ivan’s hand. He told me why after realizing that I was staring at it.

“I found this lying around in the cafeteria earlier. …It must have broken in the midst of the turmoil following your little…incident with Asmodeus.”

Honestly, I was having a hard time paying much attention to him. …By the time I replied, though, the pain had almost completely vanished.

“…Alright? And why is it…whose blood is that?”

He paused for a moment, …giving me the answer I was waiting for without uttering a word.

“Okay, …now do you mind telling me why the hell you shoved a piece of glass in my head!?”

He paused again, …this time taking a moment to exchange disgusted expressions with Leonard and Louis.

“Believe me, Justin. …You would have greatly preferred waking up to a small headache to…what Asmodeus left you with.”

For the moment, I was oblivious to what he meant, …the demon’s words now repeating in my mind as I tried to deduce what meaning they held as he spoke them.

...Expect a little gift from me the next time you wake up...

“Justin.”

“…Huh?”

“…You’re better off not knowing. …Please, just stop thinking about it.”

He must have known this remark would only produce the opposite of his intentions, because he immediately shut his eyes and buried his face in his hand.

“Why? …Seriously, Ivan, what the hell did he-?”

I stopped when I noticed that Louis and Leonard were sitting in similar positions, the former resting his fist against his forehead…and the latter merely closing his eyes in what was either pity…or revulsion. I looked around in search of an answer, stopping when my gaze had shifted back towards the glass in Ivan’s hand. …Another substance I didn’t notice on it before, …thinly scattered across the blood-stained half of the shard, …it looked almost…pearlescent.

“Hey, what is…what’s…oh no. …Oh, good God!”

“Use that tub there.”

As he said this, I rolled off the mattress and began crawling as fast as I could over to the small bathtub, …vomiting the moment I lifted my head over the side of it. …Leonard walked over and leaned up against it, proceeding to rub his hand across my back as this continued for a full minute. …The moment it was finally over, I swung back around and collapsed into tears, causing Ivan to walk over and place his arms around me.

“I told you to put it out of your mind.”

“Oh my God…Ivan, he…he…that sick-”

“It’s alright. …You’re fine now.”

Crawling back over to the mattress, I sat up against the wall and buried my head in my arms, remaining in that position for the next few hours as the others sat nearby. During this period of near-complete silence, Louis stood up and left the room, his reasons for which I couldn’t remember at the time. …After a rather long wait on the part of my new friends, I lifted my head once again, …the same stern look in my eyes that I had stared down Asmodeus with no more four hours ago. …Having nearly fallen asleep while waiting, Ivan and Leonard were rather relieved when I finally came to, the former being the first to put this into words.

“Welcome back.”

“…You okay now, lad?”

“…Yeah. …Ivan.”

“Hm?”

“…We’re leaving soon…and I have no plans of coming back.”

There was a moment of silence following this, broken only minutes later.

“Hmhmhmhm, so I’ve heard. …Do you have a strategy?”

“As much of one as I can make at this point.”

“…Good enough, I suppose. …Well then, why don’t we wait here until Louis returns, …then we’ll get started.”

“What do you mean? …Where was he heading off to?”

“To look for me.”

Having taken all three of us by surprise, we looked in the open doorway to find that Louis had returned, …accompanied by Adolf…and someone else.

“…Lucifer.”

He certainly lived up to his expectations, seemingly towering over both Beelzebub and Asmodeus, leading me to believe that the same applied to those of the seven whom I had yet to meet. …As his reputation might have suggested, he seemed to care deeply about his appearance, the clothing on his back being the only presentable outfit I had seen during my time here. He even wore long, black hair that matched the color of his clothing, yet another first for me, …though I highly suspected this to be a wig of some kind. …And, as I would have guessed, …he was disgusted by everyone around him.

“Heh heh heh heh he! …So, this is that little emo kid that knocked some sense into Asmodeus earlier. …Hmph, good riddance. That stupid bastard had it coming. …Of course, he is still one of my colleagues, so what the hell makes you think my permission to make the grand attempt is gonna come so easily?”

Had it been someone else, my remark would’ve been much more sardonic, …but in the end, I felt it’d be an unwise move on my part…to mock the greatest of the seven Princes of Hell.

“I just…felt it was worth a sho-”

“Yeah, of course you did. …So, what exactly did ‘killer’ here say about me when he told you I was lenient on this?”

He was resting his hand on the top of Adolf’s head as he asked me this…and, judging from the expression on his face as this was happening, I assumed that he was forced to deal with this on an almost regular basis. …I pitied him in that moment, …but I wasn’t about to repeat the actions I had taken against Asmodeus.

“He just said you…enjoyed watching us make the attem-”

“Wrong!”

“What?”

…He really was a prick, as I look back. Constant interruption and denouncement of everything that exited my mouth, …I could see why his colleague didn’t have much respect for him.

“You honestly think I'm permitted to go out there and have a front-row seat!? ...Hmph, as if I could ever get a break like that. ...I just enjoy hearing the sounds of their screams as they emerge out of that cloud. ...Hmhmhmhmhm, warms the soul.”

“...As if you ever had a soul in the first place.”

“…So, you’ll…let us out?”

“Huhhhh, …little brats, they're never really listening to you. …Yeah, whatever. What the hell do I care for? …So, how many do you plan on taking along? You know, to hide behind when the big monster comes out, heh he?”

“Uhh…fifty.”

“Hmhm, well jeez, care to waste more of my damn time. …Yeah, fine. You’ve got five minutes.”

“To leave?”

“Before you get sent back here! Hehehehahahahahahaha!!”

Having finally finished his onslaught of insults, he left just as he came, …though not before grabbing Adolf’s head again and shoving him into Louis, sending both of them crashing to the ground. As Ivan and Leonard helped them to their feet, I went over my resolve one last time before standing up off the mattress and walking over to them.

“You alright?”

“Hehe, right as rain. Don’t worry about it.”

“…Actually, Louis, I was…talking more to Adolf than…”

Feeling somewhat insulted, but catching on nonetheless, he turned and placed his hand on his friend’s shoulder. …Honestly, I’d never once seen Adolf without a depressed look on his face, but I still felt it necessary to be sure that Lucifer’s words didn’t affect him...too greatly.

“…Quite fine, my lad. …Rather lively, is he not?”

“Hehe, if only we weren't already in Hell.”

“Hmhmhm, indeed. ...So, are you ready to begin?”

“…Begin what?”

“Well, finding your team, of course.”

“Oh, …right. Where’s everyone else?”

“In the cafeteria. They took the liberty of telling the masses of your plans. …You certainly have quite a few…applicants willing to come along.”

“Hmhmhm, at this point, …I would say that’s the least of my worries, Adolf.”

“Hmhm, I can imagine.”

I looked back inside the small room before exiting with the others. …If all went well, that would be the last time I ever saw it.

Cool chap. Finally making the jailbreak I see. I don't understand what Asmodeus did to him though xd good work man!
It's a bit graphic, man. That's why I gave as many hints as possible without saying. Just to reiterate, he's the demon of lust and it was a pearlescent substance that he saw on the knife along with the blood. ...I won't give any more hints than thatU_U But, thanks alot, man:D
