I think it exists because the Afterworld does.

But you must be completely and utterly evil to be damned there because Obito did a lot of horrible things, yet he apparently is gonna spend eternity in bliss with Rin.

The only characters who I think definitely went to Hell are Deidara, Kakuzu, and Hidan. I’d want Indra to be there too, but only because I think it’d be cool if he was the ruler.

Or if Jashin exists, he’d probably be the ruler.

Itachi definitely didn’t go to Hell. It’s debatable for Zabuza, Sasori, Kisame, Nagato, Konan, Madara, and Danzo.

Danzo went to hell hehe.

Technically anyone in the reaper death seal stomach is kinda in hell too right? Aren't the ones there forced to fight for eternity with whoever they sealed?

Yeah, I think so. Is that all they do in the Reaper Death Realm then? Just fight? That’s not so bad, compared to other interpretations of Hell, like burning by fire lol

As much as I dislike Danzo’s character because he was such a cold piece of crap, I think there’s a chance he didn’t go to Hell. At best he’d went to purgatory like Sakumo was in. Just wallowing in guilt and grief.

Danzo seemed to regret his dark life upon dying of his Tetragram Seal. Madara and Sasori also had a change-of-heart in the end.
Hidan isn't dead though. His decapitated head is still alive down in that hole. Kishimoto NEVER confirmed him dead.
it was never stated that Hidan was dead , the man had his head cut off and was still alive so he may still be alive.
I believe Hidan eventually died because of biological reasons. You’re free to believe otherwise.

The only hell in nv is the eternal life being buried underground that Hidan is experiencing, I don't think there is an afterlife other than something positive in nv.
I think people who die find peace, but I don't know about an afterlife. Maybe for some people they don't go anywhere while others do.

I don't believe Madara went to hell. He was being manipulated and in the top of all of that I truly believe his sanity wasn't right IMO. Any wrong doing was payed in his own lifespan.

Based off of what we saw Rin and Sakumo doing, it seems like people can conjure up whatever afterlife they choose. Rin chose to watch over and wait for Obito. Sakumo was wallowing in grief and guilt.
There is nothing much to say tbh but I would be interested to know more about Jashin hopefully the Boruto series will extend more the background of this mysterious "ruler".
Yeah, I find Jashin very interesting. I've always wondered if he exists and if so, how powerful is he. But I know the series will never go this direction. Damn shame. It would be another excuse for us to see old dead characters again.

Black Zetsu began manipulating Madara when he was already an adult, so I don't feel for him like I do for Obito, who was manipulated at an early age.

Actually I feel sorry for both. Obito had a superficial good life, he felt like Naruto so he just needed a push to go to dark side. It must have truly hurt him for the only person who watched over and apppreciated him got brutally ""murdered"" by his rival and friend. But I can imagine how Madara felt like nothing was left in this world without one family member, all his clansmen turning their backs on him, his only friend not understanding him and having the one who killed your last remaining sibling badmouthing you all over, stealling from you the chance to finally have something else to protect.
Both were victims and even if that doesn't apologizes for their acts, it sure makes us understand them.

I've never come across a Madara sympathizer before. Thanks for giving me a new perspective on his character. But still, Obito was by far more of a victim, but you've made me realize that Madara was too.

Hell iz just a state of mind not a physical place! Kishi smoked a lot of marijuana in a bathtub and read dr faustus before coming up with teh "inspiration" for naruto... he mentions it in teh earlier volumes of teh series

There are different types of hell , the tsukuyomi realm , the realm of the hell king of pain , The pure land or the death reaper hell , though these could all be connected and interwined and is actually the same place but different ways to enter it .
