I'd just like to remind people that the bible clearly states that there is no suffering when you die. You're just dead and there is no punishment after death.

There is no mention of "hell" or a place of infinite suffering in the hebrew version or old testament.

People mistranslated the word "sheol" to stand for hell, but we now know "sheol" simply stands for grave. The bible talks about Jesus going to Sheol for 3 days. Why would God send Jesus to Hell for 3 days? No, it simply means he was dead (in the grave) for 3 days until his Resurrection.

A loving, wise, just God could not create an "eternal hell" and fail to immediately warn the whole world about it.

Also as far as Satan goes, an Almighty powerful god wouldn't even need to resort to a fiery pit to make satan suffer in. He would just simply "NOT BE" anymore.

The word "hell" was just created to control the masses. Religious people only admire "god" or jesus to be "saved" from "hell" when in reality,God just wants everyone to love one another and have a mutual relationship of peace with his people.

Extra fact: There is no rapture, the bible doesn't talk about it. There will be a 2nd coming, but that is not even remotely close to being the rapture.

I am not religious, but do study up on both the bible and real hard facts such as science. However, I feel my soul everyday and my heart feels love and I've came to the conclusion that we simply do not know what's out there. We are special creatures (every type organism is) and what I can say is... Love your fellow man and woman, whatever color, whatever shape, whatever sexual orientation...love is all that matters whether there is a God, or not

Thanks for reading:win:

Edit - For my religious people, STEM is good. There is no losing in educating yourself.

Isn't that what Jesus Sama stated. I know for a fact that God despises no one whether it be the greatest Sin they have committed in their life and yes Love triumphs all.

I've read your threads before and you are very misinformed about a lot of things you talk about. I agree with some of the things you say though because a lot of religious people are blind to simple facts.

I agree, most texts in the bible are misinterpreted or reinterpreted to fit the era it's in. Not to mention there so many new editions every year it's diluted way past the original text.

But I also let people believe what they wish. We're all on our own path spiritually, so if someone wants to believe in a hell to help them be a better person, so be it.

What do you mean blind to facts?

I guess I'm not good at arguing. I just try to explain my pov without turning it to a brawl to the finish but it happens.

There is no way to discern whether hell or heaven is real --- or if God actually exist. There is only speculation and faith, so with that being said, you are right to think that hell might not exist --- but it certainly could. Either way, there is no way to prove it until we actually die.

I COMPLETELY agree with you. If believing in a Hell is going to benefit you and the world then so be it HOWEVER, many MANY people turn there backs on God because of that belief. Many pastors are fooling people, shoot, I've even mislead quite a few people over mistranslated text. It's sad.

Hell was exaggerated in the middle ages when they added all the fire and stuff. What was actually meant by the original reference in the bible was burning from embarrassment (not literally burning) for those who are basically good but still need to repent some sins. Some believe there was a fallen angel who was kicked out of heaven and landed on a lower level. The Old Testament disagrees with this, and the wicked just get punished after they die.

Maybe it does, but no form of the bible talks about it.

Heaven will never be revealed because if it does and it is eternal bliss why would I want to stay here on this mess of a planet..

There is no punishment when you die ,because the dead don't feel. If you're talking about the 2nd life, that's a whole nother story where torment is mentioned, but one does not need to feel pain to be tormented. Torment can be mental, torment can be self inflicted mentally.

The bible talks about our Earth being heaven. We as humans have ruined it over the years. I can't find the actual text but when I do, i'll VM you. Its mind blowing. The bible talks about everything being new again, as well as our mistreated planet.

I agree, and most pastors are just trying to make money in my opinion.
