The question: why are Naruto characters so short (in general)? I mean what's going on - Sasuke is 157cm and 16 years old (what the), Naruto is 166cm at age of 16, and even considered tall (what in the world...)? And most of the characters are short. One could guess that the author was trying to get them asian properties, but I'd count that irrelevant, as their european look (in general) contradicts that. Kisame, for one, was counted as the tallest character humanly possible in the world of Naruto (by the characters), in his time, while only being 6'5 (195cm), while in the context, he is supposed to be a giant. Here, another example - Madara. He is supposed to be really tall (and strong), however he is only 175cm. Personally, I think there's a problem and a big mistake in the whole databooks or whatsoever. Look here: Jugo is 202cm tall, right? And Kimimaro was 166cm, right? Now look - images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110606203116/naruto/images/thumb/b/bf/J%C5%ABgo_And_Kimimaro2.PNG/830px-J%C5%ABgo_And_Kimimaro2.PNG. They're standing in their full height, and no - Jugo really is the height which he is now, in this picture.
