It didnt take much to do that. He did it when gara gripped his arm and extracted Garras sand to produce more bombs. He used the last bit of clay he had to make sn opening attacking the village.

So you agree that attacking the village was not his last attack, then.

Deidara mentions the hole created when Gaara ripped off his arm. He needed Gaara to focus his non-gourd sand in defense of the village, and he needed Gaara to fill the hole up again. He pulled Gaara's attention with the village bomb, then had him plug the hole with the bomb infused sand by throwing a bird at him, and letting his auto defense come up. So the bomb infused sand was last, not the village bomb.

Beause he needed time for the full fusion between sand and his own jutsu (sand used as exploding clay this time). He defeated him with that attack. Is this guy for real?

I didn't say everyone he fought was fodder but he never fought anyone kage level besides itachi whom could've killed him immediately if he wanted.
