I have read a few of these rumored plots now that speculate that both Naruto and Sasuke are beaten "easily" by the new character.

Though I would not put it past Kishimoto to do that, it would make it less believable IMO. These two have been so OP for the last 30+ chapters, beating Kaguya with less difficulty than many would have guessed (and many still complain about). There is no one that can stand up to them, including the kages. It is not believable that there was some hidden clan out there that is so much more powerful than the rest of NV. To me that would qualify as the next great Kishimoto a$$pull.

Now if they are caught off guard, sucker punched, beaten because they could not use full power (e.g. they would hurt hostages), etc. then that is believable. So I hope parts of these rumors don't turn out to be true.
