And that's what will help Itachi against the likes of Nagato. The people, who always build on a shallow fight which will happen when Itachi is involved, resulting in him excessively spamming his Mangekyo techniques until he dies, sadly have no common sense.

How does Itachi counter the summons without Amaterasu? Especially the immortal multiplying dog, which Nagato can and will keep split up to increase its effectiveness?
How does he survive against Healthy Nagato's casual Shinra Tenseis (in other words, ), Asura Path missiles and chakra cannon without Susano'o?

Despite we learned, that fighting effectively while tracking isn't possible, as one will interfere the other [ ]

In that scan, Cee was stating that it would be hard to fight whilst checking the area to see if Sasuke has other allies. That in itself does not imply that it is hard to fight effectively whilst using your sensing abilities. All it does is state exactly what Cee said, that it would be hard to fight and look for other possible hostile threats at the same time, which only highlights his level of ability when it comes to concentrating, or lack thereof.

Seeing that Nagato is able to use the Six Paths technique in such a way that he can control 6 bodies and several summons, talk through those bodies to interrogate members of the village about Naruto's whereabouts, whilst also wreaking havoc in said village with said bodies and summons, and still perform impressive reaction feats such as all at the same time implies that he possesses a far, far greater level of concentration than Cee.

and effectively defending against attacks from your blind spot isn't necessarily possible even with sensory skills [ ],

Except that it is, . And that was while he was in the middle of using Jinton, which means that he can sense his surroundings whilst using attacks at the same time. What is also significant is the fact that Nagato has proven himself to be a better sensor than Mu is, meaning that he can replicate that same feat.

I know this because Mu was unable to tell who summoned him with Edo Tensei for the entire time that he was an Edo. , and canonically fails to sense Kabuto's chakra despite Kabuto himself forcing him to do certain tasks such as summoning Madara, and even talking through him. Yet at the same time, Nagato was able to not only tell that Kabuto was controlling him, but was able to pinpoint where he would be from kilometres away alone, to make sure he was not sensed. That craps on any sensing feat that Mu or any sensor on his level and below have shown.

people are still under the assumption that Nagato would have an easy game in fighting Itachi while avoiding eye contact. As looking into his enemies eyes is a habit, avoiding it becomes a hard task for those who aren't trained in that matter [ ]

Nagato has knowledge of Itachi's Sharingan genjutsu, he will avoid gazing into his eyes and still fight him effectively. It's as simple as that.
No, really. not to look into Itachi's eyes, . Neither fell to a Sharingan genjutsu. When Naruto encountered Itachi again, , after gaining knowledge that Itachi can cast genjutsu through them, and he was still to . The only reason he fell under genjutsu again is because he did not know that one of Itachi's crows had Shisui's eye implanted in it. In other words, without specific training, Naruto was able to avoid Sharingan genjutsu from Itachi's eyes, and only fell prey to genjutsu that he was not aware of. Sakura did the same, despite her not having trained in such a method either.

Unlike them, Nagato has his sensing abilities to make up for not being able to look at Itachi's eyes, as well as extra viewpoints afforded to him by his summons. Literally the only reason he would have needed to look in Itachi's eyes anyways, would have been to anticipate Amaterasu, which he can still do thanks to him being able to feel the chakra buildup in Itachi's eye. And then there's also the fact that he was able to make his Paths react effectively , or even when his target within a , or when . Therefore fighting while avoiding Itachi's eyes is not as much of an issue as you're trying to make it out to be.

and becomes his disadvantage, as one of Itachi's calibre could easily force Nagato to lose his concentration.

Unlikely, as explained above. Nagato took on a whole village via co-ordinating the movements of 6 bodies and summons, and only lost one summon, as well as one body (due to it being paralyzed by none other than Kakashi and an ambush). Both of those losses were due to factors that Nagato could not control (the arrival of reinforcements), not a lapse in concentration.

I am aware of the fact that Nagato and his summons share a vision, but at the other hand, Itachi proved that he has no problems in act in their blind spots and use any possible opening to get rid off of them. Kunai and Shuriken proved to be enough to do the job, as they will blind the summons and make their vision useless.

That only worked on stationary summons, and even then, when Kabuto was controlling Nagato and said summons, had his attention focused on Bee and Naruto, and to make things worse, had forgotten Itachi was even there. In this matchup, Nagato's focus will be on Itachi only, can summon way more than just two summons, including one that just multiplies when hit, and most importantly, the summons can (and will) dodge the kunai. They don't even have to dodge them completely, just to the extent that their eyes are safe and functioning. They are far too large to be harmed significantly from kunai.

Tagging the Kunai with paper bombs will further checkmate the summons.

Most, if not all of Nagato's summons are as big as boss toads. Paper bombs are not killing them. Especially not the immortal multiplying dog.

At this point it doesn't even matter if they see the attack; they simply don't have what it takes to avoid it. Nagato is far from Juubito's level, who can sense the Chakra built up in one's eye and react instantly.

He doesn't need to be. Nagato sensed the chakra building up in Itachi's eye, warned Naruto about it, and Bee could throw a sword which Nagato countered with Shinra Tensei all before Amaterasu was cast. The mere fact that he used Shinra Tensei to block an attack before Amaterasu could be cast means he can use it to counter Amaterasu here, or use Preta Path, or block line of sight with a summon.

So what could Itachi do to force Nagato to look into his eyes? His feints, which are an interaction of his insane speed and the use of Bunshins, weapons and crows for distraction - or generally speaking, the whole of his skills - will do it in the long run. Just to illustrate one example:

You must be registered for see images

Nagato easily destroys the crows before they reach him with Asura Path missiles, when Nagato uses them through the Paths. And that's also assuming they even reach him when he's known to summon spam early in his fights and would most likely have at least one summon in the way.

You insist on Nagato's sensory skills. But what if Itachi, being aware of Nagato's disadvantage when trying to avoid eye contact, will use exactly this to his advantage? For example analyzing the summons blind spot again and throw a bunch of Kunai with tagged paper bombs at Nagato, who couldn't sense Kunai?

Why would there be a blind spot? Kabuto is not controlling Nagato in this matchup, and Nagato only needs to keep his attention on Itachi.

And why would Nagato need to look in Itachi's eyes to see that he threw a bunch of kunai? I would imagine he (or a summon) would see the kunai fine seeing that they wouldn't be thrown from Itachi's eyes and counter accordingly, whether by simply dodging them, blasting them and Itachi back with a Shinra Tensei, blocking it with an Animal Path summon, or blowing them up with Asura Path missiles. Even in the very unlikely event that they hit, Nagato tanked a whole bunch of paper tags once, that wouldn't have much of an effect on him.

It would be enough to throw one before his feet to distract him even more, in order to attack him in the largest opening or cast a Genjutsu, like Sasuke already displayed against Shee with far less effort.

C only fell prey to a genjutsu because his attention was diverted by Juugo possibly blasting away A to bits. The same C who has stated that his ability to focus on multiple things at once is hard, if not next to impossible for him. Unlike him, Nagato has displayed greater levels of concentration, can simply dodge the kunai with his mobility (assuming it reaches him at all with summons on the field) and would rely on either his sensing abilities, his extra viewpoints or both to determine what Itachi will do next, or go on the offensive at the same time that he was dodging/blocking (he can grow extra arms thanks to Asura Path) and just blow everything up in Itachi's general direction with a chakra cannon.

Or if he throws a bunch of Kunai with tagged paper bombs from all directions at Nagato, forcing him to repel it with the Shinra Tensei and then blitzing him with the Totsuka blade within the interval?

How is Itachi throwing paper bombs "from all directions"?

Said Shinra Tensei would have enough strength to blast both the bombs and Itachi back. And why are we assuming that Itachi knows that Nagato has an interval, or that he knows how long that interval is, when Naruto did not tell him about it during their fight against Nagato?

Itachi has never "Totsuka blitzed" anyone in the series. He has never shown the ability to move around that quickly whilst using his final form of Susano'o, never mind he will be in simply from being in that form, and Nagato is not just going to stand there and let himself get stabbed. He is mobile, and can give himself distance either with sheer speed boosted by Asura Path boots, , a bird summon/chameleon summon ( ), or some combination of the above.

Or sending an explosive Bunshin in close combat with Nagato to blow him away in the case he won't counter with the Shinra Tensei but with Shurado alone? And if he actually counters with Shinra Tensei, using the interval to immediately shot a bunch of Kunai with paper bombs at him or going into close combat, as he would force Nagato even easier to look into his eyes if latter can't blow him away from his range.

If Itachi sends an exploding Bunshin to Nagato and he counters with Asura Path, then that Bunshin will not get within range to explode. Nagato can end it with missiles or a chakra cannon from afar, the latter of which has the destructive capacity to destroy anything in Itachi's general direction.

If Nagato counters with Shinra Tensei, then Itachi will be too busy spending his time being blasted back to take advantage of the interval he has no knowledge of, seeing the sheer range casual ones have from his emaciated self (meaning a healthy Nagato is capable of much more).

The summons shared vision can become an disadvantage for Nagato as well, as Itachi could cast a Genjutsu on them to force Nagato to see what they see. In the case he closes his eyes, he is forced to believe in what the summons see, and that can be an illusion which Itachi cast to fool Nagato. He could force Nagato to believe in Itachi attacking head-on, while he in fact could attack from another spot.

Said summons would have to be looking at Itachi's eyes in order for Itachi to cast genjutsu on them, which is unlikely seeing that Nagato controls his summons as well. Even if one summon falls under a genjutsu, Nagato could simply cancel that summon, and/or rely on the viewpoints of summons that did not look in Itachi's eyes.

This whole fight only lasts as long as it takes for Nagato to decide he wants to end things with Chibaku Tensei/Gedo Mazo. Everything in Itachi's arsenal can be countered before that. Even without those techniques he can win via attrition, as he simply has more chakra.
