Totally agree and tbh I hate how kishi handled Naruto combat wise, he gave him sooooooo many 1 time use moves and it sux that he always has him relying on the same boring combat style even though he's shown himself to be competent enough to use a much larger repertoire of moves. All of the rasengans he used when he first developed kyuubi mode were beastly yet he never bothered to use them again. Things like planetary rasengan and the mini rasenshuriken were so awesome yet we only ever see them like 1 time in the manga. He never demonstrated anymore of the other bijuu powers as well and did nothing really spectacular with the truth seeking orbs. Naruto honestly has too much going on for him and that must actually make it kinda hard to let him go thru his entire arsenal in 1 chapter. He really dumbed him down though but tbh it doesn't take much for him to just be totally broken as a character if he spammed some of the stuff he's used.

He's versatile, that I don't deny, but he has so many jutsu that he used once and after that we never saw them again. I actually think Naruto is possibly one of THE most versatile characters since he's demonstrated so much, he's has one of the best defenses when using a chakra cloak, he's a sensor, has pretty good raw strength with sage mode, has been known to heal ppl and can replenish chakra and boost ppl's power levels, give them cloaks, the list goes on but if you watched what he did in his last few fights you'd have no ****ing clue that he has all of those capabilities.

The problem is Kishi never really knew how to handle Naruto's character when it came to power. Naruto was never a true underdog. He was only an underdog because of the situation in was in. He didn't have parents to guide him or train him outside the academy like Sasuke and so many other. The 9 tails made it harder for him to control his chakra.

In reality Naruto was much stronger and more skilled than people gave him credit. Unfortunately Kishi decided to show off Naruto's skills/power throughout all of part 2 instead of giving him battle early on to show off his powers. We didn't know Naruto was skilled in sealing jutsu until his training with Killer Bee.

Kishi also nerfed Naruto. When part 1 ended Naruto was able to use 1 tail and no tail chakra mode (KN0/KN1) without any problems. Yet in part 2 he was forbidden from using it. On top of that he weaken Naruto prior to facing Sasuke. If Sasuke was so much more powerful then Naruto shouldn't have been weaken.

It shouldn't be a surprise that Naruto was nerfed. He's nerfed more than any other character in the manga. In every major battle Naruto enters the battle in a weaken state.
