So... In his fight against old man Sarutobi, his hands were sealed.... But ever since then he has still been able to execute his techniques. Could the sealing have meant he lost the ability to tamper in the affairs of Edo Tensei?

Then there's the matter of being killed and absorbed by Sasuke. He came back from that only to be sealed by Itachi in something probably unescapable unless granted by Itachi himself im asuming. So his conciousness should have been gone, erased.

Now, he was revived through one of his many curse marks. Memories and everything still intact... Judging by his many experiments, Orochimaru most likely has thousands of shinobi with his curse marks scattered all over the world, meaning... He succeeded in his quest for immortality. So, this Orochimaru is either a carbon copy of the original or he somehow worked his knowledge into letting him aquire the ultimate existence.

I've been into Naruto since day one... And I've never been as shocked by anyone's knowledge of power as much I am by Orochimaru's. People regard Sasuke, Minato, Neji as geniuses... No, if there's ever an absolute genius in the Narutoverse, it has been proven in the most recent chapter that Orochimaru holds this title and stands at the peak of any genius that has been and will be... Proving he knew a way around the Reaper Death Seal, secured his position at the top once again.

In the begining he was my fav, until Sasuke... Then after Sasuke I have remained neutral, unfortunately I still am. This thread is just to reflect how shocked and proud I am in light of his genius. Hope you all agree.

I don't actually recall Orochimaru doing any techniques that used hand signs after his fight with Sarutobi.

1. In his battle with Tsunade and Jiraiya, Kabuto did most of the work.
2. In his fight with Naruto, he used summoning and his sword.
3. In his fight with Sasuke, he released his jutsu to become the white snake and then fought Sasuke inside Sasuke's head.

I had always assumed that he recovered his abilities after he transferred bodies, but after this chapter, I guess I was wrong. Summonings only require chakra and blood and everything else that Orochimaru has done seemed to be based on similar principles without the use of his arms.

It is kind of interesting that Orochimaru hasn't been at full strength since his fight with Sarutobi, though. Orochimaru fell into obscurity after losing his arms. Now he is back with a vengeance. I'm really just curious as to what he is going to do next. Especially since he just transferred bodies and can't take over Sasuke's body for two more years, but now he has access to Hashirama's DNA.

as i recall, summonings require the use of hands/arms... but what do i know...
