A P P E A R A N C E | Hotsuma is a fairly tall adult male standing at 6'1", and due to his training regimen, has a body that is in peak human condition. When Hotsuma is not in battle, he can usually be seen dressed in a white kimono that's decorated with a scene of gold dragons coiling around the sleeves, back, and sides showing his lineage to the Hayabusa as well as paying homage to the Daiyokai no Ryujin, Watatsumi Sanjin (Great Spirits of the Dragon, the Three Watatsumi Dragons). In battle, Hotsuma wears a grey bodysuit outfitted with thin metal plate covering his chest. His arms are covered in black gauntlets that hold six kunai each, which can be released by pulling a wire or used to supplement his basic taijutsu attacks. He wears black pants that are covered with metal plating on the hips similar to that of traditional ninja armor worn by Madara and Hashirama along with kneepads of a similar material. the metal plating actually function as holsters for his scrolls and other various ninja tools. Hotsuma while in battle will cover his face with a red scarf that acts as a mask preventing him from inhaling airborne pathogens and specially made goggles to cover or be worn above his eyes. When worn, the eyes of the mask are illuminated making it appear as if Hotsuma has multiple eyes reminiscent of a spider. When worn the goggles protect his eyes from the effects of flash bombs and blinding effects much like sunglasses. On his back, he has a metal holster with the kanji for Shinobi (忍) which is actually a holster for his katana known as the Akujiki.

Description: The personal katana of Hotsuma Hayabusa, Akujiki, is an ancient and cursed blade, said to have consumed the souls of men for centuries. It is said, "He who wields Akujiki, wields absolute power." Akujiki possesses the terrifying ability to indefinitely enhance its destructive power by consuming chakra. Thus, whosoever uses Akujiki shall forever be cursed with an unfortunate fate; in order to sustain the blade's hunger, those who wield Akujiki must dedicate their entire lives to the slaughter of any and all beings that possess chakra, and then they must be devoured in their last moments. Despite Akujiki's incredible power, it was possible to seal the demon blade by using fuinjutsu to contain its power. However, because seals of this nature are not indestructible, they must be vigilantly guarded, lest the seal become undone and allow Akujiki to run rampant. Hotsuma has taken it upon himself to end the bloodstained legacy of the blade.

Ariake Seal
The Ariake seal's formula runs along the length of Akujiki and forms a thin barrier along the blade equal to S-rank. The chakra emitted from the barrier is made to not only contain the blade's power but also serves to counteract sealing techniques of equal rank and below. Originally, this seal was a countermeasure put in place to prevent it from being undone by those whose only wish was to gain power. The chakra within the formula activates when the Ariake Seal comes within short-range a foreign sealing technique. As the sword comes near the opposing sealing technique, the chakra stored by the barrier forcibly enters the foreign seal's activation mechanism and destroys the chakra within preventing the seal from activating or remaining active. The Ariake Seal can counteract one sealing technique A-rank and below three times per battle. To sustain this seal requires no concentration on the user's part, but it does drain a small portion of the user's chakra to sustain itself. As mentioned the true purpose of the Ariake Seal is to prevent the sword from draining the user's chakra substantially. But by sacrificing a move, the user can choose to undo the seal and allow the true nature of the Akujiki to come forth. The unsealing happens passively, and once unsealed, the blade begins to draw on large portions of the user's chakra seeking to consume them and inflicting them with the blade's curse. This seal may be redone at the cost of a move and three handseals.

Evil Eater
Akujiki shares the name with the curse placed upon the user in exchange for its power. As the Akujiki consumes a large amount of the user's chakra, the chakra becomes dense and visible in the form of a blood-red hue completely coating the blade. The chakra exuded from the blade is a manifestation of its hunger and can absorb one S-rank or below technique's chakra within short-range once per turn while also granting the user's kenjutsu +20 damage while unsealed. For every technique absorbed, the Akujiki empowers itself by consuming the chakra and exuding a destabilizing shockwave meant to make consuming additional chakra easier. This chakra enters the body and prevents the use of elemental techniques for a single turn. However, this shockwave affects all within short-range of the sword including the user and thereby afflicts them weapon's curse. During this time, the chakra consumption of Akujiki is halted as it engorges itself on the absorbed chakra until the -40 chakra cost cannot be sustained. If less than 40 chakra was absorbed, the user's own chakra makes up the difference. If Akujiki consumes the user's chakra while in this state they will be unable to perform genjutsu due to the strain. Should the user die while in possession of Akujiki it will then forcibly consume and seal the user's chakra within it, leaving only the husk of their body which is rendered to dust.
Note:

  • Requires Adv. Fuinjutsu to use.
  • Akujiki is indestructible, but cannot be used to defend against jutsu on its own.
  • Once the Ariake Seal becomes undone, the user may redo the seal at the cost of a move. The seal can only be undone for a maximum of 4 turns per battle.

P E R S O N A L I T Y | In his youth, Hotsuma was a kind and gentle young man. He always loved to help and was appreciative of his elders. The major turning point in his life came after the events that led to the death of his grandfather at the hands of Ryu Hayabusa. Hotsuma became cold and distant and a shadow of his former self. He hid his pain behind a mask of calmness and stoicism to help him cope with his loss. This loss has caused him to grow more and more distant from the clan as he secretly suffered. He left the clan trying to cope with his loss and began being manipulated by a woman from the Hayabusa's rival clan, known as the Kuro clan. Hotsuma's blood boiled under his calm exterior, growing more and more resentful. Hotsuma's rage exploded when he learned that his grandfather was actually at fault for his own death by betraying the clan. Wanting revenge, Hotsuma confronted the clan's current leader Reborn, but was no match for the Sage of Yin. The battle resulted in him to losing his memories, but he maintains a serious demeanor due to the amount of time he harbored the negative feelings causing it to affect his personality. Since his redemption, he has become much more willing to work with those around him.

Nature Transformation
Hotsuma has mastered all five of the basic elements and can easily convert his chakras to one of those elements when the need arises. Hotsuma has learned to combine these natures into much more powerful elements. With the combination of Lightning and Fire he could create Plasma, and while jampacking his fire chakra with raw chakra he would superheat his fire in order to create the Hellfire Release.

Taijutsu/Kenjutsu
Hotsuma is one of the very few ninjas to have such a high aptitude for hand to hand combat that he was deemed worthy to obtain the Elder Kaito's teachings and receive the Sixth Sense. He can easily dispatch numerous foes quickly, using a variety of martial arts to overwhelm them. He has mastered the Satsui no Hado, (Assassination Fist) and is labeled a Master of the style. Due to his past, he can quickly access the dark-nature chakra to improve his hand-to-hand significantly. When consumed by the desire to win and utterly destroy the opponent, his dark intent floods into his chakra making it dark and corrupting. This symbolized by the change of his chakra into a blood red hue. As a master and specialist of Hotsuma is much faster than the average master level strong fist user gaining an additional +4 to his base speed. When complete strength is needed, Hotsuma has mastered the of the Bullet Arts fighting style. He uses Scarborough Fair to deal devastating blows combined with gunfire. But, Hotsuma is nothing without his trusty sword. He uses the Akujiki to perform a myriad of kenjutsu techniques, and can even summon 1000s more by using the Sentouryuu sword style which summons numerous swords to overwhelm the opponent. As a Hayabusa, he was also trained in the Hayabusa Kubudo.

A powerful jonin within the clan, Hotsuma showed great aptitude for the techniques. After the events that transpired causing him to lose the memories relating to his clan techniques, Hotsuma was left with no memory of how to properly perform Neidan, the ninjutsu that allows the Hayabusa to control their existence. He has since regained this lost ability and reclaimed his title of Jounin. This is where a Hayabusa is considered having completed their training and head toward mastering their Neidan. Their applications of the basic abilities double what they were as chunin. They can sense other Hayabusa with Taijin chunin rank and below. They are able to actively resist any spiritual technique and damage or conceal themselves from the five basic senses twice per battle for a single turn. Jounin can either use one application twice or each application once.
Wujin (No-being): This is a passive ability within the Hayabusa clan and the first introduction to the manipulation of existence through Neidan that a Hayabusa shinobi gains. This ability is how the Hayabusa have stayed hidden from the outside world for as long as they have. This ability deals with the concealment of a Hayabusa’s existence from the means of sensory and perception. The Hayabusa manipulate their Dantian (chakra centers) in order to erase their physical essence, vital energy, and incorporeal spirit on an extra-sensory and perception level. In other words, any means of comprehension of the existence of the Hayabusa that isn’t done through the five basic senses is impossible for non-Hayabusa. This is achieved at the genin level and is passive just as the tree climbing and water walking exercises. When a Hayabusa becomes skilled enough, they can even erase themselves from the perception of the five basic senses, however, doing so requires active manipulation of the Dantian and takes one of the three moves per turn. Also, due to the fact that a Hayabusa is essentially out of the plain of existence in this form, they cannot attack an opponent or mold their chakra to use techniques until they release the wujin and once again appear in the enemies senses. The length of time and amount of times one can erase their own existence depends on the skill of the Hayabusa. Hayabusa are immune to one another’s Wujin abilities at a certain level and rank and are capable of detecting other Hayabusa members no matter where they are. This is done through Taijin.
Taijin (Supreme-being): This is the opposite of the Hayabusa’s Wujin ability which refers to their perception and conception of their own beings. This is less of a sensory technique for others and more of a self-awareness. In convention with the philosophy, Taiji would be akin to “everything” which was born from Wuji. In the sense of this passive ability, a Hayabusa makes themselves indefinitely aware of their own existence in whatever form and wherever it may be. In other words, if, for example, a portion of a Hayabusa’s existence were to be separated from them yet still existed, they would be able to tell exactly where it was located. This is done through them being aware of the physical essence, vital energy, and spirituality of their own being. This also extends to weaker members of the Hayabusa who cannot hide their presence from higher ranked members. Hayabusa are the only ones who possess the Dantian and thus members of the clan can be aware of one another’s existence. This ability only pertains to one’s own existence and that of weaker Hayabusa members and knowing of their existence. This ability does not give an indication of what exists around or what occurs around their existence. A Hayabusa will know nothing else other what pertains directly to their existence. This ability is unlocked at the genin level as well but extends only to knowing about their own existence at that level.
Spirituality: The very beings of all Hayabusa are embedded with the Watatsumi Sanjin. Due to such a power, the Hayabusa have a great deal of spiritual energy which makes them more acute and resistant to spiritual based attacks. When confronted with spiritual/mental attacks (with the exception of Yin Release and MS level), the damage and effects are reduced by half and status effects (effects that place restrictions on a victim’s capabilities) would weaken by one rank. Though, when a Hayabusa becomes more skilled they can actively resist the effects of any spiritual based techniques completely at the expense of a move (minus Yin and MS level). Note, this does not make Hayabusa passively immune in any way to techniques like genjutsu or Yamanaka techniques, merely they are more tolerant and capable of resisting mental and spiritual damage from such techniques. They still experience the sensory manipulation of illusions and must actively recognize and break free unless they have the power to resist the technique.
Ninjutsu/Genjutsu
Hotsuma spent a great deal of time training and studying ninjutsu, it was the only thing he focused on after the death of his grandfather. He has mastered many ninjutsu and thus this is why he has earned the moniker of Shinobi. Hotsuma during his time under the control of the Black Spider Clan was made to sign the Spider Contract and has a tattoo branding him as a user on the back of his right hand. This allows him to summon the creatures via the marking. After his redemption, Hotsuma has acquired the Ninja Dog contract and after spending time with them has developed a close relationship with them. Wanting to be of more help to those he potentially wronged in the past, Hotsuma has learned medical ninjutsu and seeks to use it as a means of redemption. Hotsuma's proficiency in genjutsu is second to none, and as Genjutsu specialist, Hotsuma can not only extend the range of his genjutsu, but also layer multiple genjutsu together. He is also capable of producing spider silk and spider venom due to his ability as a Naturalist Summoner. He has even learned how to perfectly channel natural energy and perform Sage Mode and enter the Spider Sage Mode when the need arises.

Fuinjutsu
Hotsuma is very adept at using scrolls and sealing techniques and it makes up a good portion of his fighting style using them to store and summon a myriad of ninja tools. He currently as three seal markings upon his body.

Description: This is a special "ninja tool summon" that allows the user to seal basic ninja tools, like shurikens, kunais, swords, etc into sealing marks placed on their clothes or their body. The ninja tools can be summoned in an instant just by touching the sealing "marks". The greatest advantage of this technique is that the time between taking out a ninja tool, taking the right stance and actually throwing it is greatly reduced and one can unleash a barrage of weapons with great speed in a small time window. Also when a weapon such as a Fūma Shuriken is summoned, the time needed to throw it can be further shortened by having prepared the weapon in fully extended form beforehand. Sasuke even shown that you can have the weapons connected to wires and linked to their sealing marks and used the technique in sealing marks he placed in his wrist bracers.Note: Can summon up to 30 basic tools per sealing mark and can have up to 2 sealing marks.


(Neidan Fuin: Jǐnlǐ Dao ) Internal Alchemy Sealing Way of the Koi

Description: This is one of the Hayabusa’s most advanced Neidan techniques. This is one of the non-traditional techniques created by Reborn after mastering both fuinjutsu and Neidan. This technique makes use of Dragon Chakra’s inability of being sealed and extends this affect to the user and their techniques. The process for this sealing technique requires the user to first train and store up a large amount of their Dragon Chakra into a single point of their body (similar to Tsunade’s Yin Sealing technique). The focal point for the seal will form a unique symbol that resembles a black and white koi fish circling each other like the Yin-Yang symbol. The second part of this technique is the actual activation of the technique. The user will activate one half of the seal or one “koi” and apply one of the following affects.
Black Koi: The black koi seal resembles a black koi fish with white eyes, whiskers, and a white circle on its head. This half of the koi seal applies to the user’s being. By activating this technique, the user coats their entire body in their Dragon Chakra and thusly become completely immune to sealing techniques. Seals that have been applied to the user will disappear from existence and all future attempts to seal the user in any way will inevitably fail. This includes barriers and other methods that fall into the category that would otherwise seal the user or prevent them from using techniques and abilities due to being or having been sealed or suppressed. The major drawback to this technique is that this technique also erases any self-imposed sealing techniques that are dormant or active. Hayabusa Dragon Chakra is indiscriminate between native and foreign chakra sealing techniques. The second drawback is that: by using this technique it prevents the use of the other half of this technique. This half of the technique creates a paradox with the other half of the technique in that; this technique erases all seals applied to the user including self-imposed ones. The second half of this seal would be included in this clause. However, because the second seal is also Neidan it cannot have a seal applied to it either thus a paradox occurs. To prevent this paradox, the user uses all the chakra in the seal for this half, which would cause the second half to fade out on its own without actually affecting the technique. When this seal is activated the user’s body from the neck down will be completely engulfed in black. Their sclera will become black as well.
White Koi: The white koi seal resembles a white koi fish with black eyes, whiskers, and a black circle on its head. This half of the Koi seal pertains to the user’s techniques. By activating this technique, the user’s chakra flow increases exponentially due to the chakra from the seal rushing throughout their entire chakra system. This results in every technique used after the activation possessing a significant amount of the user’s Dragon Chakra. The implementation of Dragon Chakra will prevent the user’s techniques from being sealed. This pertains to all non-Neidan techniques and will be maintained for a period of 400 chakra used by the user. This does not prevent sealing techniques from being applied to the user that would prevent certain types of techniques like the previous half of the technique. However once a technique is used with this half of the technique activated, it cannot be sealed or blocked by barriers or other methods of sealing. Because of the exponential flow increase every non-Neidan technique would have additional chakra added to it (+20) which would inevitably cause the jutsu to end quicker as every technique will use more chakra than necessary. This is an unavoidable consequence of the technique in exchange for its other benefits.
Note: The black koi seal will remain active until otherwise deactivated. Once deactivated the technique cannot be used again for the duration of the match.
Note: The white koi seal will remain active until the chakra cap is depleted or otherwise deactivated. However, if the technique is deactivated before the chakra is depleted the white koi can be re-activated (turn cost) with the chakra cap being where the user last had it when the justu was deactivated.
Note: Only one half of the seal can be used per match: the black koi requires all of the chakra stored in the seal and erases the white koi. Since all the chakra in the seal is required for the black koi, using the white koi even minimally will prevent the black half.
Note: when using the black koi users are unable to use non-Neidan techniques above S-rank.
Note: To learn this technique the user must have completed Fuinjutsu and be Jounin rank (by the clan's rank).


(Fuinjutsu/Purasumoidoton: Ten no Shukufuku)- Plasmoid Release/Sealing Arts: Heavenly Blessing

Description: A body seal that activates at the start of battle that will passively infuse the user's clothing/armor with Plasmoid chakra. The Plasmoid forms the kanji for heaven (天) on the user's clothing/armor appearing as a bright white symbol. As a result of this seal, arcs of energy will be seen flowing off of the user’s clothing up to a meter from the user. The purpose of this seal is to increase the power of techniques utilized by the user by constantly absorbing nearby thermal energy. To achieve this effect, the user will utilize the signature property of Plasmoid. This involves siphoning thermal energy off of energy based objects once in range or the opponent if they get within range (5m). As an energy based object weak to Plasmoid nears the user, the seal will passively draw in the thermal energy and convert it to chakra for the user. By doing this the user will be able to passively enhance one of their techniques by twenty damage points or one rank depending on the situation by using the chakra to empower the techniques even more. At the cost of a move when an opponent gets within range, the user can preform the seal of confrontation to activate the seal. This will cause a short range spherical barrier to expand with the user at the center. In this barrier, the user effectively becomes the core of the Plasmoid and the barrier will move along with the user. Opponents who are within this barrier will begin to feel sluggish and cold as their thermal energy drains, this results in their speed being reduced by 2 levels and taijutsu and weapon techniques to be weakened by 10 damage. This effect increases by 1 speed levels and 5 damage for each turn the opponent remains in range. Eventually on the 4th turn, the target will be rendered completely frozen due to losing all their thermal energy. To maintain the barrier will however drain the user of 10 additional chakra per turn during which no other chakra based techniques can be used.

After empowering an attack or activating the barrier, this technique goes into a three turn cool down.
Kinjutsu
Traveling the world and studying ninjutsu eventually led Hotsuma to learn what has come to be known as Forbidden Techniques. With the capability to use techniques such as Edo Tensei and Oral Rebirth, Hotsuma has shown why he has earned the title of Shinobi

Description: A cyborg attachment to the user's body, the user has a robotic limb that allows for him to create spheres of energy that are capable of absorbing chakra up to S rank level. These spheres are capable of dealing brute force on impact as well, growing to large heights, up to 4 meters in radius. Starting at roughly rasengan size, these spheres grow proportionally to the size of the technique absorbed. Normal Ninja are able to make use of one of these devices via specialized gloves that allow them to absorb 1 Ninjutsu per turn up to S rank while Cyborgs have these attachments and are able to absorb up to Forbidden powered attacks and 1 from each arm per turn.

( Kemuri Senkōdama ) - Smoke-Flash Bombs

Description: Similar in use to the smoke and flash bombs respectively, this tech dazes the senses by emitting a powerful sound and light. It was powerful enough to block even enhanced senses of sight and hearing, leaving those with vision and sound based sensing useless. It's major downside, however, is that due to affecting a wide area, allies could also be caught in the blast radius if not warned beforehand. Due to the mass amount of chakra released from the explosion, chakra based sensing dilate also left useless. These are also able to negate B rank and below technological sensing devices as well.

Shouheki Kunai - Barrier Kunai

Description: The Barrier Kunai is the only weapon designed and forged to be used exclusively for defensive purposes. These weapons are meant to provide the user with a quick, effective, and surprising defense against all modes of attack. Prior to throwing the blades, the user imbues them with a decent amount of chakra before throwing the blade into an object such as a tree, a wall, or even the ground. Upon impact the rear of the kunai splits into four sections and projects a barrier in the opposite direction, allowing this technique to easily block areas such as halls or paths inside forests. The barrier itself is of a light blue color and any thing, living or dead, that comes into contact with the barrier is deflected; beings that possess chakra signatures that differ even slightly from that of the user receive electrical shocks upon contact with the barrier, these shocks are meant to interfere with the nervous system of the victim in addition to inflicting physical pain. Objects such as kunai, shuriken, rocks, etc. simply bounce off the barrier and have the potential to inflict damage on the user through ricochet. In addition to the visible barrier, the kunai creates a notably weaker but invisible barrier around itself to deter the efforts of those who realize the kunai is the source. This barrier does not cause electrical shocks, it simply makes it impossible to physically grab the kunai and causes some difficulty in attempting to damage the kunai. That being said the barriers erected through the use of this tool are able to be dispersed by those with the ability to absorb chakra and may be shattered by A-ranked or higher techniques. The strength of the barrier is entirely dependent upon the amount of chakra the user pushed into the kunai beforehand and a barrier may not be erected with a single kunai, pairs or sets must be used. The shape of the barrier is dependent upon the locations of the kunai used to form it and as such is determined by the user before hand, it must be noted that it is impossible to create a spherical barrier. As with most barrier techniques, the uses stem past forming defensive barriers and may be used to stop falls, restrict the movement of an opponent, or even completely detain the opponent by enclosing within the barrier.Note: User only carries 6 of these into battle.
Senryuu | Whirling Dragon

Description: Senryuu is a firearm ninja tool that was developed with a unique firing mechanism that allows its jutsu bullets to be shot with cannon like force traveling to mid range extremely quickly. By whirling the weapon around, the firing pin is able to rotate the barrel allowing it to fire its next bullet. This whirling motion is how the weapon got its name. The weapon has six loading chambers for the user's chakra. When the weapon is fired, it draws upon additional chakra for the firing mechanism building up the force behind the blast and a ring of kanji propels the bullet forward. Due to the force of the blast, the user is only capable of firing one chakra bullet a turn, counting as a move otherwise they would risk recoil damage. The blast is so powerful it is capable of completely neutralizing up to S-rank jutsu (within reason). Although the bullets are powerful, they have no penetrative force, but can still cause significant blunt force trauma if the target were to take a direct hit. Senryuu is a unique weapon due to the fact it can utilize other bullet ninjutsu that's only possible with a firearm. Senryuu's main ability is also derived from its name. After performing the whirling motion to prepare the technique, the user can shoot their own preexisting basic elemental jutsu or surface (naturally occuring) on the field which fills that medium with the chakra from the user's chakra bullet transferring said chakra into the medium. This then causes a dragon to be created out of that medium with the same elemental properties of the jutsu or area shot and counts towards the user's move count. These dragons are equal to S-rank and will last a maximum of two turns, however they are fully sustained by the injection of chakra during the time they are used. While the dragons are in use, the user may not use any additional elemental technique that is of the same chakra nature as the dragon which would follow the strengths and weakness of the respective element.
Note:
-Only one dragon may be on the field at a time.
-Only one jutsu bullet per turn, which travels at the speed of the average Lightning jutsu, the chakra bullets can only be used to neutralize up to three S-rank techniques per battle.
-The user must wait two turns between using the dragon technique, this ability may only be used three times per battle.
-Senryuu is also capable of using other bullet ninjutsu.

Description: The Scarborough Fair is a set of four large caliber handguns that act as the user conduits for chakra. These handguns are based upon the Derringer a gun capable of rapid fire, simple, and rugged. These four guns have been crowned with the names Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme. Pushing the user's hand to hand ability to its limits, when combined with the user's chakra, the guns' rate of fire and stopping power are incredible. The user will makes use of these four weapons by holding two in their hands and two connected to the back of the user's feet which are fired through the use of chakra. To stay loaded at all times, the guns passively drain up to 40 chakra (10 each) per turn. Each weapon holds up to 40 chakra magazine at which points the weapon will stop draining/accepting additional chakra. During development, Ninja Scientists recognized that some situations may require more immediate offensive output, so chakra can be actively loaded by the user by sacrificing one of their moves to fuel one or more of the handguns with chakra. This chakra can be spread among the weapons to load multiple at a time, but can only distribute up to 40 chakra between the weapons and can be done within the time frame of another technique. This allows the user to quickly stockpile the bullets damage resulting in a more powerful bullets as the need arises. Naturally, as long as the weapons are loaded with chakra they can fire chakra bullets up to S-rank depending on the amount of chakra used. It should be noted, that the user may also not expend more than 40 chakra from Scarborough Fair per turn which may be spread among the handguns as needed. These chakra bullets may be elemental or raw chakra, but this must be stated prior to the release as only a single element may be used in a turn. In the turn the user fires bullets from one of the weapons, they expend one of their moves per turn but may fire multiple simultaneously. This means the user will not be able to fire more than three of the weapons per turn. The main focus however behind these weapons lies in the fact they are held and mounted in such a way, they can be used to aid the user's melee combat. Users can supplement some taijutsu by firing the weapons in a way they act as propulsion for their movements. The propulsion increases the speed of the technique, which in turn increases the damage by half the amount of normally ranked jutsu at the expense of chakra within the weapon and thus a move allowing for more powerful strikes. For example, if the using an A-rank taijutsu, the user can supplement it by firing 10 chakra from the chosen handgun. This translates to +10 extra damage to the technique alongside additional flurries of chakra bullets which may cause collateral damage for those in close-range of the propulsion blast. This happens within the same time frame of the taijutsu when used this way, and one or more weapons may be fired if the technique permits it, each weapon fired counting as a move. There is a maximum to this however, as the user may not exceed a +40 damage threshold (S-rank) added to the taijutsu.
Note:
Bullets respect the elemental strengths and weaknesses but as mentioned the user may not expend more than 40 chakra from this weapon per turn. This can be done in single fire or semi automatic fashion. When fired semi auto, the resulting damage will be spread among the number of bullets fired as mentioned by the user during their turn.
S-rank applications cause Scarborough Fair to go into a cool down sequence, preventing usage for two turns.

Peaceful Beginnings
Born in Owatatsumi's Hayabusa Ninja Village, Hotsuma was born during the reign of the third Dragon Master, Jo Hayabusa. Growing up, life was peaceful as the Hayabusa had disconnected themselves from the outside world. Hotsuma lived with and was being raised by his grandfather Kobushi. As a boy he would often spend his time listening to his grandfather reiterate accounts of the past during his time as Dragon Ninja, one of the highest ranks within the clan. His tales of heroics often included epic battles between the Hayabusa and one of their neighboring rival clans. The Black Spider Clan. Kobushi's tales claimed the Black Spider clan was at war with the Hayabusa long before his time. Their battles dating even before the Hayabusa had been blessed by the Great Dragons. He'd often even tell the stories of their ancestors before the Rabbit Goddess devastated the land as the Juubi. The stories told of the jealousy of the power the Great Dragon bestowed on them. They would often do whatever they could to destroy the peace the Hayabusa had created for themselves by hiding from the world. Although the Hayabusa were masters of manipulating their existence making them nearly untraceable, the Black Spider clan had been dealing with powerful forbidden techniques. They could form contracts with dark spirits granting them unimaginable power. They would go to any lengths in a effort to steal the Dragon's blessing and destroy the Hayabusa. Many years before Hotsuma was born there was an epic battle between the two clans. Using their forbidden techniques, they found and began to lay siege to the Hayabusa Village. Shunden Hayabusa, the first of the Dragon Master Lineage, was able to thwart the attack, but as he was on the brink of death, Shunden transcended his spirit returning it to Wuji becoming nothingness in the process and being regarded as a true dragon. These tales inspired Hotsuma. He aspired to be just like his grandfather and even more like the legendary Grandmaster Shunden and entered the academy as early as he could. By the time he had graduated the academy, he was noted to have great potential and was on track to following in Kobushi's footsteps as he vowed to protect the village from harm by any means.

Traitor
After graduating the academy, Hotsuma spent his time training and preforming low rank missions within the Hayabusa clan's territory. He was only a genin, when the Black Spider clan attacked. The scale of the attack was so great, Jo Hayabusa went into a coma and many strong Dragon Ninja were killed including Jo's eldest sons, leaving the mantle of Grandmaster to Jo's youngest son, Ryu. Ryu Hayabusa, was able to save the village but not before finding out how the Black Spider clan was able to infiltrate the village and cause so much damage. Before the entire village, Ryu would reveal the traitor was none other than Hotsuma's grandfather. Kobushi had been a village elder and adviser to Jo for many years, now it was barely believed by many in the village. Hotsuma could not believe it when he heard this, as Ryu detailed the account of how for years Kobushi had secretly been divulging the Hayabusa Clan's secrets to their enemies. Apparently, Kobushi had become tired of the way Jo was running the clan and wanted to use the attack to plan a coup d'etat to over throw Jo and become head of the Hayabusa clan. The evidence was outstanding, Kobushi was then executed directly before Hotsuma's and the entire clan. From then on, the entire village began to look at Hotsuma as an outcast. He was a spitting image of his grandfather in his younger years, and many villagers began to ostracize Hotsuma because of this. Secretly, and primarily due to denial, Hotsuma began to resent the villagers, especially the current head, Ryu Hayabusa, regarding him as the man who slandered his grandfather's name, he would hold this grudge secretly for years, as he dare not oppose the Dragon Master. Hotsuma focused all his anger into his training, he vowed he would one day take the mantle of head even if it meant taking on the current Dragon Master he would clear his grandfather's name by whatever means necessary.

Caught in the Spider's Web

Many years after the death of his grandfather, Hotsuma's demeanor and personality had changed. He channeled his heartache into blood, sweat, and tears. His skill had improved greatly and the higher ups deemed him fit to become a Jonin and partake in missions outside the village. Outside the village, Hotsuma would learn from numerous masters increasing his overall skill while singlemindedly focus on the objective of clearing his grandfather's name. Soon news arrived to him that Ryu had sent his son, Rin'ne (Reborn) out to the ninja world as well. Reborn was in line to become the next head of the clan. Back when he was a chunnin, Hotsuma had heard of tales of the Dragon Master's genius son. Six years later, Reborn returned to the village to take up his mantle. He couldn't stand the fact that someone so young would surpass him. Hotsuma began to spend more and more time outside the village walls, he could not bear to burden himself with the thoughts that plagued him every time he returned home. He found solace in the Land of Lightning, where he would meet a woman. She was gorgeous to say the least. Hotsuma's problems seemed to vanish as he and the woman began to spend more time with one another. However, she was not all that she seemed to be. She had actually been one of the remaining members of the Black Spider clan. Sensing the power of the Dragon Chakra within him she used a Kinjutsu that caused Hotsuma's anger to bubble forth and all the pent up rage he held inside burst forth. He returned to the village, and challenged Rin'ne himself. Reborn, now as the Sage of Yin, could sense the troubled spirit of Hotsuma. The battle didn't last long at all, Hotsuma having realized what he did was ready for death. At least it would release him from all the pain he had endured. Reborn had other plans. He recognized the talent within Hotsuma, and using the Yin Release he preformed a powerful genjutsu that released the control the Black Spider woman had over him. He also then erased all the memories from the pain Hotsuma endured, allowing Hotsuma to see clearly for the first time in years. Hotsuma was redeemed, but the Sage had also sealed his Dragon Chakra. This meant Hotsuma would have to prove himself once again to return to him what was lost. But this time the outlook wasn't as bleak...
