Well, byakugan seems more useful in wars where you have to detect your enemy... some ppl would also use it for "jiraya stuff" xd
Why I wouldn't choose sharingan is because nowaday ppl use weapons while fist to fist combat is less common so even with a sharingan you wouldn't be able to evade a shot
