I'm trying to update my avatar and I am not sure exactly how to resize pictures to fit the given dimensions. And I can only work with my iPad because my desktop computer has been down for several months This is just so frustrating because it is such a cool picture. How do u fix a pik in size

With a picture editor. Such as photoshop or gimp. You could probably do it in paint as well.
Since its an iPad, I'm sure there are apps for it. or you could post the pic in the gfx section asking someone to resize it for you.
Being a regular member not premium you are allowed a 150x200 size avatar.

Some are websites, where you can just paste the URL and resize it. Should work on and iPad. Just type "picture resize online" and you'll be good to go. Make the dimensions 150x200, a normal NB member's max.
