Have your favorite characters changed from part 1 to part 2

In part 1 my favorites were Naruto, Sasuke, neji, rock Lee, jiraiya, gaara, sakura, ino, shikamaru, kakashi and hiruzen.

However in part 2 my favorite characters change to just all the kage, naruto, Sasuke, kakashi, jiraiya, itachi, shikamaru, sakura, hinata, bee, Nagato, and madara.

A lot of the previous characters changed my point of view because of the lack of development and just plain boringness of them. There was no inspiration like before in part 1. What are your alls opinions?

Konan wasn't around.
Orochimaru hasn't really.

My part 1 favorites were in order:
Neji, temari, tenten(she looked cool against temari), sakura, kakashi, lee, kiba, tsunade, sakura and ino.

My part 2 favorites in order:
Tsunade, Ay, Sakura, Gai, kakashi, Suigetsu, konan, Darui, ino. (at least the ones i can pull off the top of my head atm)

It's obvious why half my part one favorites have changed. Neji was my absolute favorite, the hyuga was more part ass in part 1 mainly because of him and they dumped him in shippuden only to bring him back to die. Temari also took a step back. Tenten...Well she changed nothing about her other than clothes in part 2, and lee and kiba basically at a stand still in development somewhat. NO new techs except kiba has an extra head on his dog thing now XD.

I don't know why, but all my negative opinions on characters, I would blame it on Kishi for some reason. After all, everything and anything in Naruto somes from Kishi.
I don't hate any just think it's weird to hate on a drawing, lol.
Favorites are team7 and Akatsuki =D

Lee, Neji, Gaara, Gai, are my faves.

Lee and Neji's power and character development almost stopped and they become insignificant; it is sad because imo they had potential... Then Neji died with almost no development; and Lee got only a tiny development after his death.

Gaara changed in personality and became a kage; but i prefer part 2 Gaara who fought with Kimimaro; he bevcame kage too quick he had crimes to pay off; afterall he was a murderer.

Gai got development with his rivalary with Kakashi; also showed great deal of his powers in his fights; it was cool but it would be better if he got the development with his team (Neji, Lee and Tenten)

I had no Part I faves, I got into Naruto starting with Part II and all my favourite characters have been from it.

I've been reading Naruto since it debuted in America, so my faviorte characters have changed becuase of my age. Not because of the time skip. Since I was relatively young when Naruto first started, my faviorte characters were something like..

1. Naruto
2. Sasuke
3. Kakashi
4. Gaara
5. Itachi and so one...

But now that Im older (Im 18) and its part 2, its more like

1. Naruto
2. Madara
3/7. Killer Bee, Gaara, Itachi, Sasuke, Minato
8. Kakashi
9. Obito (Serious Adult)
10. Jiriaya
