That's every time they say reality in the anime, the character says genjutsu.

Is genjutsu Japanese for reality?

Because the Uchiha and Yin release users create realities. Madara created a separate for every person the planet now only if he was as skilled as Hagoromo those dream world's would have became physical and real. Kaguya created herself a few dream worlds.

So it doesn't seem at all ironic that the Japanese term for reality is the same term Kishi chose to use to describe an ability that places u in a false reality?

Yeah it's kind of weird actually. I feel like they're saying something else, but in Japanese manywords sound the same but have different meanings depending on context and/or how it's written
