For Sakura, it's probably because she can't completely let go of her crush because she has been crushing on him for years and probably thought that getting him back would be easy. But now she's in some sort of standstill, where she can't decide whether she still loves him, faults and all instead of the perfect guy she had envisioned him to be, or give up on him.
As for Naruto - Sasuke was one of the few who saw him as a human being instead of a monster like the rest of the village. Sure, he insulted Naruto but those jabs were given on his qualities as a shinobi - and let's be honest in the beginning Naruto really acted like an idiot. That's something else than being insulted and called a monster while not knowing why.
Also Sasuke acknowledged him as his best friend and for Naruto, who never really had a best friend, that must have been a fantastic feeling, to be acknowledged by the person he admired. By stating that, Sasuke gave him a place in his life; and not just some place, but a place as his best friend.
And considering Naruto takes his bonds very seriously - after growing up without any, he cherises the first few he created - it's no surprise that he doesn't want to give up on Sasuke. He doesn't want to abandon his best friend so he still tries to get him back
