^ It is the internet, which is why, it shouldn't matter given the slightness of the issue. I have never been bothered by these things even in real life. You have your priorities misplaced.

This is my last post about this

Priorities have nothing to do with it. Like I said, I have a healthy social life. Chatting with ppl online doesn't effect that. And my feelings aren't hurt, I was just saying. Those are insults and you can't say they aren't

Long story short: I have ppl I use the word 'friend' for on NB. This thread was about word usage, not deep philosophical perspectives on what friendship really is

It's not just the internet man. What if you're talking, calling, texting, video chatting with a person, and talking about personal things, and letting them know who you genuinely are and giving each other support for months or years? Is that not friendship?

What a bunch of idiots. Friends on NB? I know it's a very holey cliche, but please, 'buy' a life, if you cannot get one.
You look at things in a wrong way.

You see? We don't live in an era where when you wanna go somewhere you ride a horse. We don't live in an era where cars weren't invented. Technology is simply to say. Internet gets you close to what is far. You can't afford to travel to other countries to meet people in person that you knew them on internet. Getting to know someone on the internet is fair enough to be called friend.

The only excuse is someone can't have enough money to travel around the world to meet what they call friends they just met them on internet.

How can you simply tell/judge someone whether they have life or not? As if you care about anyone.

Maybe I don't see it. But perhaps, you have a point in this regard.

Deeply Philosophical discussion? Lol Define Friend, since you are not letting this go, obviously.

"This is my last post about this" yea, I'm definitely not letting this go

You would have to read posts before out conversation to understand that statement

^ I saw what you typed, don't insult my basic reading skills, thank you. I am asking anyway, since you breached your own statement: what is a friend, since it has little to do with philosophy.

I have 'associates/acquaintances', however, some of them are more than that. Though, generally I think the notion of one having genuine friends over something like the internet is a foolish one.

Most of the people I'm close with are inactive (Chibi >_>), banned, etc. But yeah, I have a few people here that I consider friends. Even met one of them irl. *_*

Hell no, Modlife=infintly hated no matter what you do.

:D
He's right. I hate him too. :|

Almost all friendships start because of common ground regardless of what or where it actually is. Most of us joined this forum to read and Naruto and discuss it with others who also share this passion. This is what makes us an online community and keeps us together.

Definition of Friend: "a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations"

If thats the case, you can say you found a friend...haha...
