I don't think we just die and that's it. Something else has to happen. What? Eternal life? Re-incarnation? Not sure, but something has to happen, or at least I think so. Anything could happen. One of us could be right, none of us could be right, maybe all of us are right. Who knows?

I believe in God, so when we die, we will go to heaven or hell.

But, the atheist version is:

When we die, we start our life again. We somehow get reborned. But we live different moments, cause the years go on.

After death,there is grave until resurection day.
Then there is judgement that will dur for 50 000 years.The sun will be too near that humans will be drowned by their sweat.
After judgement, eternity in Paradise or in Hell.
For those who did big sins and was believer to Allah and his prophets Adam,Noh,Abraham, Issa-Jésus,Mohamed peace be upon them they will go to hell for purification then Allah will send them to Paradise for eternity.All babies who died before grown up go in Paradise without judgement.

The Prophet Mohamed peace be upon him said: "We will come out of Hell-fire he who has in his heart the weight of an atom of faith".

Death and the aftermath are tricky topics. Is it heaven? Some odd cycle of reincarnation? Or is it like sleep, a long and endless variety? The topic is too spiritual, as if you have religious inclinations you're more likely to believe one told tale of the afterlife or another; but that's a good thing, gives people something to believe in.

I imagine death to be the result of what you do to yourself in this world. Drown yourself in alcohol, be rude to people and selfish, expect cruel punishment. Karma. Be selfless, respectful of your body, friendly, etc. And after death will be in favour of you.

Perhaps it's nothing, just a mere illusion, you die, you wake up, apart from the real world, you live your life like you are suppose to, maybe you continue on if you are young and play out what would have been, you restart if you are old, from beginning to end, this time, making different choices, changing the outcome of what would have happened.
