SM actually makes anyone a heavy fighter, if they're at least average. Base Naruto is at least low kage tier before acquiring SM. When he gets SM, he's escalated to god tier (since he fought a god tier character and even put him on the ropes). So if Mitsuki is Chuunin level now, SM will jump him to extremely low Kage tier, since he will skip Jonin. He'll be Kage level at the end of the day, even if not to the same level of renowned Kage's (or whatever the level you would consider above Jonin).

Tbh i don't read the manga and i only just started to rewatch the anime so that bold seems pretty overwhelming to me. If you're referring to base Mitsuki who i witnessed in the fight vs Shinki... there's no way that guy is Chunin level lol.

Itachi would've died two times or 3 if he wasn't at his edo state + Putting him into Izanami doesn't really mean he's more powerful than him + There's really nothing he can pull out to defeat Kabuto (Totsuka won't work as Kabuto's already too fast and Yata's gonna be useless against underground attacks) + Izanami only worked because of Kabuto's personal problems (not knowing himself and who he is), so Itachi was just lucky.

Yeah, its just that people have too much wishful thinking. Thats like me saying if "Itachi had Perfect Susanoo" and stuff like that. They'll make sure to nitpick everything he does and give the victory to whoever he defeats. In Nagato's Fight, Itachi wiped him out of this universe with mere speed and kunai, yet they whine about how Nagato was being ganged on 3 on 1 by killer Bee and Naruto and Itachi when former disposed of Bee and Naruto immediately in the Start of the Match already. Yet some how Nagato fought 3 people at the same time. And they do this by nerfing Itachi's Powers to give his opponent like saying Totsuka's Sword cannot pierce a low tier character like Kabuto and that the Yata's Reflector don't cover all the sides. It's hypocritical and hilarious at the same time from a third party view-point.

I happened to watch the first time they clashed and it was stated they were lucky because Shino was not himself.. Didn't watch the next time they met -bell test-, but i believe it was hinted at least from stuff i've read that Mitsuki used SM against Shino.

Again, we are talking about base Mitsuki here and he doesn't seem like Chunin level to me.
