I mean, when a character debuts in black and white, and then Kishi whips out a colored page with them, had the colors ever not match the ones you expected? I've been lurking on deviantART for many years so I've seen a lot of fan art of characters done before the official color revelation, some things were accepted among the fans, for example Tobi's latest mask, the grey one, was often thought to be orange like his previous one. And I swear everyone thought Root Fu was blonde. Him being a ginger was a big twist for me, I was like :what:

Anime does it sometimes, too, like with Fukai; I always thought he had black and white hair with a black eye marking, but in the anime he has white-green hair and a purple marking. What?

Also, I've seen many people draw the Second Mizukage with blue/grey/white hair, but the anime made it light brown.

Sometimes, though it doesn't happen as often nowadays.

One time I remember being surprised about Madara's blue Susano'o. It seemed like a weird colour at the time, since most were expecting it to be orange or purple, but I got used to it fairly quickly.

It's always weird when a new character appears, and the fan-art usually depicts them with weird coloured clothes or black hair until it's revealed that they have radically different colours altogether.

Yes, I forgot about that, there was a fake volume cover or something with Madz and a red Susano'o, which people actually assumed to be real. Red seemed like a more fitting color, too.
