Have people completely forgotten about Obito's quotes?

“in the world, those who break the rules are scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum.”
'It will be a new world, a world without lies'
'I want to build a world where heroes don't have to make pitiful excuses in front of graves'
'The moment people know to love, they bear the risk of carrying hatred'
'There is no such thing as victory'

But yet the only quote people seem to recall is 'you let Rin die' U_U. Its a shame that nobody can understand his character.

Yeah. Normally I'd agree, but it really does seem like his prime motivation is Rin's death.

Very scrub-like behaviour.

Why have we forgotten his quotes?

... it's because ... you let Rin die.

But in all seriousness, those who want, understand.
I for one luv Obito.
He's my second favorite character. (The first is Lord Orochimaru.)

No it doesn't just the poeple on internet keep bring that up. he hasn't done anything after Saying you let rin die to indicate that was his motivation. he's motivation is stop a world where friends have to kill have to kill friends in the name of the village

The main point is that Obito is like a 'bad Naruto'... he couldn't handle the despair and went full retard.

Blame Kishimoto. When he had to develop Obito into Tobi, he didn't really make his reason for wanting Infinite Tsukuyomi clear enough. Even though there are tons and tons of quotes in the present day that prove Obito is discontent with the world itself instead of just Rin's death, Obito didn't show the same kind of motivation to stop war and violence during his flashbacks... or to be more specific, at the time he decided he wanted to carry out the plan. Instead, we did have panels of Obito sobbing over Rin's death, getting owned by Yahiko, throwing away the flowers Kakashi brought to Rin's grave and a statement that he doesn't care anymore.

People who don't like Obito will always claim he only cares about Rin (so don't waste your time on them), but as someone who believes there's more to it than just Rin, Kishi didn't make it clear enough.
