I am really hating the series at this point. I am only watching it now to see if the shitload of stuff wrong with it now corrects itself in the future.
At first, I hated it because of how the generation just received the same personality and jutsu from the previous generation. For example, there is no reason Lee would be able to give birth to someone incapable of using ninjutsu. If Lee's handicap is on a genetic level, then he would undoubtedly be from a clan. I mean, it would make so much more sense if Lee and Metal Lee couldn't use ninjutsu and genjutsu because of a genetic variance prevelant in their clan. But it seems to be randomly associated to Lee and his offspring.
Now, I'm really starting to hate it because of Boruto's dojutsu. Many other people hate Boruto because of the way he treats his father. The authors wanted him to hate his father and the hokage title so they can show that Naruto and Boruto are different. But if they wanted to do that, they shouldn't have given him Naruto's two most-used jutsu ever, Shadow Clone and the Rasengan. That isn't my reason for hating him at the moment. My reason is that Boruto gets what seems to be an entirely new dojutsu that has never been hinted to exist, a dojutsu that's even beyond the Otsutsuki.
I mean, the premise of this show is inheriting everything from the progenitor of chakra. So if the authors want to use the excuse that Boruto's new dojutsu comes from the amalgamation of Hamura, Hagoromo, Hyuga, Uzumaki, and Namikaze chakra, they would be completely wrong. If that was the case, then Kaguya should have had the same dojutsu as Boruto since everyone's chakra came from her alone. The only thing that would make Boruto's dojutsu make sense is if it is in the preliminary stage of becoming the Byakugan, or a mutation between the Byakugan and the Tenseigan.
I just hope someone saves this series.
