Multiple times he risked getting taken over and he struggled most of his life with it not to mention he went through multiple intense training sessions to control it. Bijuu mode wasnt free. Sasuke wasnt free either he almost went insane from his eyes but found a new purpose

Struggling with it doesnt make it any less free. He didnt have to train for kcm just steal the chakra with HELP and then bm was totally a freebie then freebie when all biju gave him chakra and obito stealing bijuu for him and sages power up and theres ton in part one that were free.

It wasnt free for the simple fact he had to FIGHT for it else he would never have gotten it. Same for Sasuke he had to FIGHT to develop his Mangekyou and both he and Naruto's powers first came with dire risks. Naruto could hace died and Sasuke could've went blind. You wouldnt say it was free if your childhood was ruined and skinned burned off everytime you transformed.

Naruto's power is what I am talking about, and it was nuts already as we all know. I simply noting how people says naruto stomp sasuke back then.

He stabbed naruto thru the shoulder forcing 1 tail out then Using Naruto in that fight Sasuke developed 3 Full tomoe in each eye and gained Curse Mark 2. I'd say it tipped to sasukes favor but arguably even. Bottom li e is they always went through something NOBODY else in the manga EVER went through to obtain power so they arent free powerups especially if they come at a cost
