So apparently, shit about scales and fairness, sounds like Haschwalths is Stern Ritter "B" The Balance, no idea how he did it, but he pierced through iron with his power, probably by tilting the power scale of his sword in conjunction to that of the iron, like he did when he cut Ichigo's sword in half.

I think that's why he's going to be fighting Kyoraku. They seem to have similar powers.

For example, Kyoraku's Shikai allows him to cut a color that poses greater risk to him.

Maybye he lowers the powers of people around him by absorbing their reishi. That would explain why ichigo put up a decent fight against juha bach while jugram just cut tensa zangetsu in half like a boss.
