Hashirama's Taijutsu

I personally believe his taijutsu is on par or slightly above base Gai, just wasn't emphasized or expanded upon. During his childhood while sparring with kid Madara, his form was very remiscent of Lee's forms aside from him looking alot like lee. Also he has constantly fought against the Uchiha who are well versed with taijutsu (think sasuke, itachi, obito and madara and there is shisui a speedster). He was shown skillful use on variety of swords, and on one panel, very reminiscent of Mifune's battle with Hanzo.

According to Madara when he was fighting against the 5 kages, everything in his arsenal was on another level.

There was no need for his taijutsu to be expanded on. Since it is only logical to assume he is equal or superior to Madara in it, since he bested Madara all the time.

I mean after all he was hopping around like a monkey in front of Kurama + PS, and jumping off rocks like it was nothing.

Not really, Madara matched a Sage Mode Hashi in this category.

He indeed looks like Lee, maybe he was utilizing the basis techniques of gouken; leaf taijutsu.

The panel that he clashes with Madara they are showing similar technique to leaf coiling whirlwind:

Hashirama is mainly long range fighter. We haven't seen enough of his Taijutsu. We can assume he is good as Madara, but that isn't the case.

In his Sage mode, he was beaten brutally by Madara. Sage mode gives comparable strength to Tsuande as well as greater speed. So his Taijutsu is around C level.
