I say he's pretty fast. As fast as Itachi and Guy. Probably faster.

he's probably very fast, but when you have people like gai, minato and naruto blitzing everything in speed of light, mentioning speed compared to them (he's probably very very quick, but people like those 3 that move so fast they teleport) is a bit of a negative thing, so instead kishi left it up to our interpretation?

Hashirama is massively hypersonic (mach 150+)

here is the feat ( when he fought EMS madara)

madara is charging a bijudama,-then he fires it,- and hashirama is running from the bijudama- crosses a mountain range, creates enough distance to summon rashoshom gates

Now, this feat proves hashirama is much faster than the bijudama madara through with his sword ( his speed is hinted at because he crossed a mountain range in moments)

-right after Hashirama summons the rashoshom, he looks over his shoulder and the bijudama already crossed the oceon and hit the other shoreline.- thats the main part of determining hashiramas foot speed.- the bijudama was fast enough that by the time hashirama looked over his shoulder- the bijudama+susanoo sword already crossed a large body of water and hit the far shoreline.

Furthermore- hashirama doesnot really need speed.- He chills in his mokujin that has fast enough hands to intercept a perfect susanoo sword. - advent of the flowering trees beats 99% of the narutoverse a the same time.

Speed wise? I doubt he is slow. We seen what Madara can do with his body. Not slow at all. Now if we comparing him to someone like Minato or Tobirama in that area, he would lose. But when it comes down to it, I doubt he would be slow as people put him out to be.
