I think its refreshing that the "god of shinobi" doesnt take himself too seriously. For someone who is supposed to be bad-ass and battle worn, he is not cynical. It is good to know that he is full of mischief (ie, gambling), I think its nice.

This is just my opinion though. I enjoyed reading that chapter.

It was a brilliant idea to make Hashirama this sort of nice, goofy person. We already know he was a kindhearted person and badass, not to mention intelligent enough to revolutionize the shinobi world. Best leader EVER!

He was probably a shinobi who loved to fight others during the warring periods like when Goku loved to fight others.

I honestly think that he would doa 180 if he saw Madara. I think we would actually see him get mad at what he has become. I think it would be more fitting for Tobirama to start the fight versus Madara first then Hashi join in mid way after going to aid Tsunade.

I found Hashirama's personality to be refreshing. I was expecting him to have Tobirama's personality but was surprised that he was so carefree. It just goes to show that you don't have to be uptight to run a shinobi village. He may have that balance that Minato had when it came to his Hokage position. He was carefree but when it came down to business he got into "hokage mode," or something! But that just makes it much easier to picture Naruto as the Hokage.
