Madara will agree for truce for the sake of other uchihas. so by then they formed village but ignorance by tobirama towards uchihas and also same in madara's mind, thinking for revenge for his brothers so he found out power of uchihas. He did research on how to use tail beasts and control them..then when he get more power, he attacked the village in way to annihiliate senjus, Hashirama fought with him for last time. Madara was defeated but he had all planned for fight to acquire cells of Hashirama.
I believe that hashirama already had all beasts where as madara possess one only so to take other beasts he might have attacked the hashirama as his plan of MOON.
After getting what he want, hashirama let him go by thinking he will not return but Madara had plan to revive his brothers and father whom he love so he found how to control whole world so no any Loved ones dies anywhere and everything happens as he wants....
where as Hashirama keep praising and giving importance to uchihas as equal as senjus and other clans..even bond with UZUMAKI clan for sealing kyubi and to bring peace as he always wanted..Tobirama might not like the uchihas in villages but with time he understand them and what their love is...but he mistaken them after Hashirama died by forcing them to corner which arises COUP dectat in village by uchihas...
After his death, uchiha planned it because against tobirama, no any uchiha is that strong to attack him.so when hiruzen came in power, they decided to attack as they are allegedly accused for attacking village in name of KYUBI.so they felt insecured and its also a disrespect to them.so itachi's father decided a coup but the hatred, which he carry stop by his son ITACHI and SHISUI who trully understand the ideology of HASHIRAMA...
MADARA did all research to revive his brothers so no fight will take place in world and he can have his brother with him...that may be reason, hashirama called Madara's love is much greater than itachi's love for sasuke....
these are just some points which i thought....upcoming chapters might clear it and give more hints for the questions of ours.....
