The gates seem as though they need a stationary target anyways. When Hashi used the gates on the juubi, it wasn't moving around due to the seal of the four red suns....and that requires four people to cast

confine and seal are practically synonyms of each other and yes I know it's not meant to seal....I don't even know why you mentioned that?

He didn't need to do that because He knew Kurama is not that strong as Juubi. So just 1 shot of his wood dragon was enough to supress Kurama but for Juubi, he needed it so he did it. Thats what is my thought on this.

Hashirama is one of those people that can be one or a thousand, depending on their mood.
