Sage Mode is Sage Mode. The technique being taught by toads/snakes/whatever is irrelevant because Senjutsu amplifies the user's capabilities. Hashirama was shown to be the strongest natural sage, because he was the strongest person shown using it.

Hashirama's SM gives you regen on the level of Byakugou.
Hashirama's SM gives you strength to toss around Bijuu and durability to tank attacks from said Bijuu.
Hashirama's SM gives you jutsu like gracious deity gates which can pin down the Juubi.
SM Naruto's puny Senjutsu doesn't come close.

Senjutsu is a tool like everything else, its strength is entirely dependent on who's using it. The reason Hashirama's SM is powerful, is not because that his SM is stronger than Toad SM, because it isn't but because Base Hashirama and Base Madara are tiers ahead of Base Naruto from Ninjutsu to Taijutsu. With exception of Six Paths Senjutsu, all other Sage Modes are equal because you take in Natural Energy and mix it with your Chakra to enhance your base capabilities, so the whole point is the strength of your base form. Nothing else is going to change in this matchup. Hashirama wins.

There is. Hashirama has the marking in his forehead when he uses sage mode, clearly different from typical sage modes which only have eye markings.
