I totally agree with you. I know that the 3rd was regarded as the 'God of Shinobi', but we cannot derive a Shinobi's strength from a meer title! I would say that the battle would last maybe an hour, Hiruzen would battle hard, and tire Hashirama, but eventually run out of chakra and become out-classed by Hashirama's raw power.

I took both of their hype into consideration, and Hurizen has NO advantage. Not only that but, Hokages and Orochimaru > Iruka. Just saying.

It was not iruka's opinion, So iruka being the one saying it means nothing, Hiruzen's strongest hokage hype was the opinion of a mass of people, not by one Chunin.

None of hashirama's hype contradicts hiruzen's strongest hokage/God of shinobi hype, todays manga if anything Proves that him and hashirama were very close in strength since they both were hailed as "God of shinobi".

This is by far his greatest feat, People seems to think that EMS Sasuke can match Naruto so it's only far to say EMS Madara is far above Sasuke given his experience and all, Hashirama manage to not only defeat Madara he defeated and sealed the Kyuubi, a full powered Kyuubi a feat no one else has achieved as Minato only sealed it whilst deal with Tobi who is argubly a lot less powerful then Madara.

Incredible haxxed, Madara defeated the Gokage with it, Hashirama physically subdued Kurama with it, Yamato rebuilt Konoha with it, Danzo dodged Susanoo with it.

In conjuction with Uchiha DNA unlocks godly powers without it Madara would be dead as would Tobi (Izanagi, Konan fight) It gives life.
