1. Hashi made wood clone
2. His real self managed to get behind Madara instantly
3. Madara was surprised form Where Hashi came instantly behind his back while he didn't notice him physically travelling to the point at his back
4. Madara didn't see Hashi coming
5. Which leads to the belief that Hashi could also use Hiraishingiri ( but of course at a minor level)

Here we see Hshirama makes up his mind to eliminate Madara :

Given that they were fighting for hours and that Madara's stamina<Hashi's, I think Hashirama snuck up on him. Hiraishingiri is Tobirama's thing man (Space-Time). Hashi's got his Mokuton, that's good enough to handle Madara (w/ the Kyuubi lmao).

Hashirama didn't need to sneak up behind him because before they clashed he put up the Bunshin. so he probably was hiding somewhere else but he didn't teleport of whatever
