We already saw them fight during the Hokage battle. However, it was an EDO 1st and 2nd Hokage against the almost 100 year old 3rd Hokage. But anyhow, the whole world saw the with the help of Enma the Monkey God, Hashirama's Mokuton technique is useless.

Staff Enma is crazy tough and strong, no wood in the whole universe can withstand its hammering. Even the Kyuubi was pushed over 300 meters outside the village by Sandaime using Staff Enma.

Prime... Sandaime was a God. So intelligent and cunning that knowledge of Justus is a library! Sandaime is the only Hokage who defeated all his enemy until old age had taken its toll on him.

Until I see good reason to think Hashirama is as good as the hype he gets,I'll go with Hiruzen. He managed to counter his moves when he fought the Edo.

Also,I think Hiruzen does get hype but at least he won when he fought the edo hashirama....
