So I noticed in the latest chapter, Hashirama seemed to have a wounded arm (
That gets me thinking, could this auto-heal ability of his be a part his Sage Mode? So when he's in sage mode, he can natuarally recuperate without using signs? It makes some sense, and not out of the question since sage mode enhances the body.
And one final extension on this hypothesis; many argue that Hashirama is using Slug Sage Mode, while others claim its a natural sage mode not linked to animal. Someone made a thread a while back about how it makes perfect sense for Kishimoto to display the last animal sage mode after introducing the first 2. (also, the reference to the Shikkotsu Forest could relate to Hashirama's wood style). I'm undecided on the issue personally, but since the slugs are used for healing, this could support that Hashirama is using a slug sage mode, hence the healing ability.
