Hashirama Question.

I was just wondering, since Hashirama can heal himself without handseal's, could he open the eight gates (if he knew that technique) and live? Maybe heal himself while eight gates is active or does opening the eighth gate always mean death?

Just my opinion but I believe once the 8th gate opens then you die (after the powerup obviously), sort of like a self destruct button.

Aye.. The eight gate is said to kill you - but I think it's due to the strain on the body... and if that's the case, it should technically be possible for Hashirama to endure it..

But the eight gate could also be some kind of overload/self destruct like you suggest - and perhaps release all chakra in the body at once, or perhaps convert the very soul to chakra And if so, then perhaps even the soul is lost (so no edo tensie or anything can ressurect you )

It probably just shreds your heart though, as the previous gates shred your muscles.

Well considering tsunade tanked being split apart (lol not really but you get the point ), then it would technically make sense for hashi to survive if it had to do with vitality alone (considering he's a senju).

I really just dont see kishi making survival a possibility, it would also make me respect the jutsu less if one could survive it's drawbacks.

As I stated, I believe it rips apart the one muscle that you reaaallly don't want ripped in half.
