No. Madara would never respect him and his power if he wasn't powerful. Obito used his DNA because it was a great source of power. It appears Hasirama's power is keeping Madara and Obito alive in the current storyline.

he is underrated. i have seen a lot of people say things like

-his hype doesnt count

-madara held back at VOTE(didnt use perfect susano)

-i have seen people try to twist the manga and act like madara doesnt think that shodai can beat him despite hashirama being>full power madara(perfect susano).

-hashiramas wife did all the work at VOTE and hashirama did nothing at all.

-hashirama had the help of the entire leaf village to beat madara at VOTE.
