This is how: The pollen would put Obito to sleep, so he would have to be intangible. This only last 5 minutes. So he would have to go to the Kamui dimension completely, but if he does he will suck in the pollen with him.

Hashirama is obviously stronger than Obito, but I dont think they knew it would be this easy.

Hashirama solos with maybe a pinch of difficulty, MAYBE.

Madara only has Hashirama techs because his Sharingan could record the handsigns and he used to battle Hashirama all the time. Obito does not know Hashirama's jutsu.
